If you like American Chinese food, this is the place to go. Everything is fresh and delicious, and promptly prepared at good value. Recommendations: Egg Fu Young of any variety, egg rolls, and especially the shrimp chow mei fun, which has thin noodles, a very...tasty light white sauce, a fresh array of vegetables and yummy shrimp.More

I had been to China Town a few years ago, and they had really not done well. My husband and I went there about a week ago and wow! What a change! This is the sort of Chinese place you go to for the food,...not the decor, but they have redone the walls. I had beef with mushrooms that tasted like something freshly made, not something pulled out of storage. My husband had General Tso chicken (which he loves) and he was raving about it. The egg drop soup was wonderful; the hot sour soup wasn't perfect but it was family-friendly. Well worth a return visit!More

Have been going (taking out from) here for years, but, haven't been here lately. This last time was excellent. Mushrooms were large, could taste the carrots and portions were large.

Used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in mchenry, but since they switched owners it has gone down quite a bit. I've given it quite a few chances but it's just not the same

This place has a huge menu and great service. The people are very nice and the crab rangoons are to die for. Just be sure not to miss it!

We really enjoyed our meal here, especially the crab rangoon. The combination plates that include an entree, rice, and an egg roll for less than $8 are an excellent value. The place isn't fancy and so of the tables are kind of sticky, but overall...an excellent place to eat.More

We have been customers of this place since they opened and they had beed great for a long time. Tonight we had our second bad experience in a row. Last time we ordered via the internet and when we picked up our order they told...us some of the items we ordered were not on the menu. HUH? They were on the menu online. But we gave them another change tonight.....after calling in our order, being told it would be 20 minutes, and arriving 35 minutes later to collect our order, we ended up waiting over an hour! We mentioned we thought the food that had been sitting in the bag would be cold, only to be told by one of the workers that it would be hot. When we arrived home and opened the food, most of it was cold. It also did not taste very good....some of the sauces tasted a lot like dishwater. This was really disappointing!!! If the woman who started this place knew it was being run like this now, I know she would be mortified, but we have gone here for the last time. We gave them a second chance and they blew it. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone any longer.More

I am by no means an expert on Chinese food but freshness and consistency really do make the meal for me. Different people prepare the same foods quite differently and I understand that but knowing that I am ordering a vegetable dish that will have...the freshest of ingredients is a plus. The place is not fancy but it is clean, priced very reasonably and the help is friendly and helpful. Attitude means something to me as well. Quality food served with a smile - a pleasant meal that does not break the budget. I cannot comment on all their meals because I have not sampled their soups or any fish dishes but from what I have tried, I am a loyal repeat customer and would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.More

Really good food. We usually get take out, as the restaurant itself is not much to look at and offers hard benches as formica tables as a place to eat. But the great food, generous portions and reasonable prices make it worth the trip over...to pick up take out!More
