I’ve dined at this place for decades, and while I’ve changed a lot, this restaurant has not. That’s one of the things I like about it; it’s always the same good old country cooking. If you have a sophisticated palate, then this is not the place for you. But, if you like homemade pies and fried food, you’re in. The staff is never rude, on the contrary, they take good care of everyone.

Good service. Good food. Good price. Julie was our waitress. She was in the run as usual. They have good waitstaff there. Everyone pitches in.

If you are looking for great fried stuff this is your place. The tenderloin is as big as a hubcap on a 1959 Cadillac. Very tasty served piping hot. I did not get any sides because it is so big and I ate the whole thing. Restaurant is nothing fancy however the locals come here in droves. Other folks nearby got the fried mushrooms and raved about them. They only serve soft drinks iced tea and water there are no adult beverages here.

I’ve been coming here for around 30 years, every since I was a student pilot. I live about 60 miles or so from here and try to go up several times a year, I rode my motorcycle up recently. I love this place, it’s like a visit with an old friend. They have a lot of good food items to choose from, but they are known far and wide for their breaded tenderloin. It just a short distance from the interstate, and if your lucky there will be some planes coming and going.

I have been visiting this restaurant for the better part of thirty years, I’ve never had a bad experience. They are located at the Charleston / Mattoon airport ( KMTO ).
Last night I flew into to meet some family that had driven down. As expected we all had a great meal. They are known for their breaded tenderloin and onion rings, they also have great biscuits and gravy.
They have a full menu. The prices are very reasonable. They are just a short distance from the interstate.

I last posted in January of 2019.
As I mentioned in my previous review, I have been flying in to eat for over 25 years. The food has always been good and the staff, welcoming. My latest visit was the same, very good, moderately priced meal and friendly folks.
If you are on the interstate, it’s just an easy on and off. Try them out.

It had been a year since I was last here. Way too long. I flew up for breakfast, and it was as good as ever. There were a couple of other folks who had flown in, but most had driven in. I’ve been coming here for the better part of 30 years. It used to be mainly airplane traffic but the number of pilots have declined considerably over the years and now it is mostly local folks and people getting off the interstate. It is just a short distance from the interstate. It’s a great place to stretch your legs and if you have a pet with you there is plenty of room to walk them. They have daily specials besides their regular menu. Give them a try, you’ll be glad you did.

Terrible atmosphere and flavorless food. We walked in and received bad looks from the staff and most customers for the duration of our visit. I was glad to get out of there.

I’ve been coming here for over 25 years. Friday was my first visit this year. I stopped in for lunch.
It’s just a mile or so off the interstate, and we’ll worth the short trip.

Love the airport anytime we can go. My children love to sit by the big windows and watch the planes coming in and out of the airport. Sometimes the pilots come in the ear and you can visit with them too. The staff is super friendly and great resources for the area. Many of them have worked there for years. The food is delicious. My favorites are the burgers, fish sandwich, fried mushrooms, and chicken livers. They are so flexible if you want to sibstitute something and always want to make my kids so happy! We appreciate the dish of ice cream they can get for super cheap too!

Usual good food and service.
Greeted by name. Knows what I want. Coffee waiting for me when I get there (the others are waiting for me) as she knows our group. Changed up and had the biscuits and gravy instead of pancakes.
Watched the many planes coming and going from my window seat.
I tried another restaurant for breakfast the Saturday before very disappointed. Probably won't go back.
Oh yeah before I forget try the Sunday special Baked Steak had that this month.
Airport steakhouse -If you haven't gone there yet I suggest that you give it a try.

I have been flying her to eat for many years. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's all good. If you are traveling on I-57, it's just a short drive and an easy on and off. Across from the hospital.

The food here is TERRIBLE and the service is not friendly. If you are looking for a steakhouse, go to the Alamo.

Flew up Sunday for lunch and was not disappointed. My brother had the BLT and onion rings and I had the elephant ear chicken tenderloin. We both loved our meal and I took over half of my sandwhich home. I added coleslaw and it was very good.
I would highly this restaurant as a flight breakfast/lunch/dinner at very fair prices.
