This is not our first visit to the best barbecue in America! We stay close enough to walk over for dinner and really look forward to the reliable service and great food!

I love their BBQ. They make soup or chili everyday. They make the best potato soup I have ever tasted. They don't make it very often which is a shame. Don't care for the desserts. The pork rinds ( cracklings) are hot and fresh and are great.

I love visiting restaurants that were featured on TV- so I had to stop at 17th- good food, really liked the ribs but like the sauce that's not the original sauce better. Very nice staff, I would return next time I am out that way.

I always stop to eat here every time I come to Marion. I have yet to be disappointed by their food. Great food, environment, and staff...

We never miss an opportunity to eat here when in the area. It is a "must do" when in or around Marion, IL! Some of the best BBQ you'll ever eat and very friendly staff.

You have to stop here and try it for yourself. We had "Pig Shoes" and a " Lotta Bull Sandwich". Food was good but unusual and too high priced, $10 and $1.50 and $2.50 for a cup of coffee....This is not a fine dining place but couples, bunch of friends type of place. They also have ribs and other BBQ... More

It was later in the evening and we were hungry and tired, so we thought we'd give this place a try. Glad we did! Huge menu with something for everyone. Welcoming, interesting atmosphere. Staff very friendly and efficient...answered our million questions with smiles. Definitely a bonus if you love any kinds of BBQ.

Good selection of food. Quick to get food out. We had the brisket and pork shoulder with sweet potato, garlic bread, and Mac n cheese. Large portions; would come again.

The was an excellent stop while on a road trip. The barbecue was excellent as well as the sides along with a great choice of draft beers. The service was great and the parking was quick and easy.

Description
Illinois was recently named one of "11 Top BBQ Cities in America" by Thrillist, thanks to 17th Street. Mike Mills and his crew are proud to support and shine a spotlight on Southern Illinois, sharing the gospel of barbecue and their delicious food both in Southern Illinois and nationwide. At 17th Street, barbecue is a culture, not a concept. The restaurant is a community gathering place where guests become family. Rooted in history and family, their delicious barbecue smoked using local apple wood and their famous Magic Dust(R). Owner Mike Mills has devoted his life to the pits and is considered by his peers a true pioneer, legend, and leading force in the barbecue world.
