This restaurant was a nice place. The service was very good. The side dishes were small but good except the sweet potato. I don't know why it smelled and tasted like flowery soap. They were very sorry about that. The desserts were good but the derby pie is a far cry from the real thing.

My family stopped at this restaurant on our way home from Nashville. We just happened to see it, and we like to try to eat at local places. The food and the service were FANTASTIC!! I would highly recommend trying this place out. We all had pie after we ate as well, and it was amazing! I can't say enough... More

My husband and I were in the area for a couple of weeks and had read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Wow! were we sure surprised. Everything was great from the start. It's nice to find a place that has dishes just like you make at home. The portions were big and everything was fresh. But... More

Honeybakers is a quiet restaurant with a variety of great homestyle country cooking. I had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. The meatloaf was firm and flavorful. The mashed potatoes tasted fresh and were smooth and buttery, cover with brown gravy. The green beans tasted like there was some bacon grease in the recipe-just like my Mom used... More

When we travel thru Illinois we always stop here. Small, quaint restaurant in a small strip mall type area. Yummy home cooked food and oh their meatloaf! I NEVER order meatloaf at any restaurant, ever, until my Mother ordered it and gave me a taste. It is one of their many specialties. They are also known for their wonderful pies... More

In the middle of a long travel day, we were in the area, checked online reviews, and our party of five chose to have lunch at Honeybakers. So glad we did. I would say it's a cross between a casual diner/restaurant. It is open for lunch and dinner only. You walk in and your senses are hit with the aroma... More

My family had take-out from Honeybakers. The lunches consisted of containers with BBQ piled on top of slaw on top of baked beans. Tasted ok, but not my favorite way to eat BBQ and sides.

Homemade food, good prices, great service. Desserts are awesome! It is a family owned business and they have a wonderful resturant.

We approached Honeybakers a bit early in the day and wondered if it was open. A local couple drove up and parked. We asked them if this was their first time and received a resounding "NO! And it won't be our last." WELL, they were right. The menu is from the South and when I saw that they served lunch... More
