Home style food served here family style! Surrounded by forrests and bluffs with many hiking trails! Beautiful scenic place to visit and eat!

The fried chicken is crispy, well-seasoned, and all-you-care-to-eat. It comes with family-style plates of lots of side dishes, including green beans like my mom used to make, dumplings, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cole slaw, and biscuits... all for about $12. The lodge is lofty and quaint. Our waitress was very nice. We also got a nice beer that they had... More

You're never quite sure what to expect in a State Park. Let me just say this was better than expected. Slightly above average dinners at reasonable prices, in just s beautiful atmosphere.

I was very impressed with both the quailty of the food and the service. You can order menu items but we ordered the chicken dinner which is served family style. A ton of food! Being a State Park, the decor was beutiful.

We come here every year and every year the food get worse and the service was HORRIBLE. 6 of us sit down for the fried chicken dinner - and it takes an HOUR before we are served - after the dinner rush. The green beans and corn come straight out of a can. The other sides are almost COLD. The... More

The breakfast is delicious and served very fast. The portions are HUGE. My wife ate half of her order. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Only down side was the price. The portions are worth the amount, but the portions are too big, which in turn makes the price too big. Most breakfasts here are in the $10 range... More

The food was great and they kept us supplied with chicken. It was all you can eat chicken and the sides. Staff was busy but thorough. Great views of the park. Good price too!

We were recently staying at nearby Woodland Cabins and were told that this was a great place for dinner. We took advantage of the Sunday all-you-can-eat family style fried chicken dinner and we were NOT disappointed. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, biscuits, dumplings, and slaw. One round was enough for the two of us but we could... More

I was so disappointed. This is such a neat place to visit but the chicken dinner is not homemade food. The chicken is delicious but the sides are not...canned biscuits, instant mashed potatoes, canned corn & green beans, mushy dumplings & store bought slaw. Sad

The 'family' run Lodge is a local favorite, Sunday family style dinner draws and overload crowd every week, and people come from miles away for the food, the comfortable atmosphere and the great views.
