We loved this place and can't wait to try more on the menu. I love the liver dumpling soup and am happy that I upgraded to the bowl over the cup. My husband ordered a combo with schnitzel and knackwurst. It was outstanding with great sides too...mashed potatoes with delicious gravy and creamed spinach. I had the stuffed cabbage and... More

Beautiful Chalet. Just gorgeous. The food is good - but, I don't think it's quite as amazing as people make it out to me. Not that healthy either. It's fairly expensive. And, they don't really make you feel to much at home here. Service is so-so. Don't ask for anything off menu or to "try" a taste of a beer... More

This is a great German restaurant. They are hard to find these days. The place was packed and the place had lots of energy. Great service, fantastic beer selection, Must be hundreds of beers. The menu was so long it took a while to find something to eat. Everything looked so good. I was over whelmed. The Rouladin was special.... More

Reminds me of my days in Germany. Lot's of beer choices. Real German beer too, not the root beer favored new beers, some the original 7 from Munich. Go early if it's during Oktoberfest!

Finding good German food in our area is hard....but this place has it. Especially like sitting in the bar area sampling various European beers. My favorite dish is the kassler rippchen, (smoked pork chops). Very good sauerbraten also. Just be forewarned...very popular on weekends, hard to even get a place in the bar without reservations. Some (not all) of the... More

The parking is slim on site, so get there a little early to park next door and walk over, the food is great, it is no Berghoff but for being in the suburbs and not have to go down to the city for German, it is fantastic!!!

The food was very good but most items were from the steam table at a medium price range. Service staff was knowalgable and friendly and provided prompt service. Bar and beer service was broad with many Euro brews. Interior decor was great with many German curios on the above eye level shelves that reminds one of the older German homes.... More

In the old days my parents took us kids to several restaurants and all had great bars. Dark wood, brass details and cocktails. Lisle's Bavarian Lodge has all this plus hundreds of beers (my estimate). And its such a lovely bar, even my wife likes it. Go here for a beer or an evening. You'll love it.

We have been going to the Bavarian Inn Lodge for many years and have had a great experience each time. The staff are always wonderful, the rooms are always clean and very comfortable. We highly recommend staying at the Bavarian Inn Lodge.
