We love La Dolce Vita! Great and friendly staff. We love the quaint atmosphere in one of the oldest stone buildings in Lemont. But we come for the food. Their Bruchetta is the very best warm garlic toast with cold gourmet tomato and, yes, more...Garlic. Famous for Peppers and Sausage, they also have the best Veal Parmasian in Chicago. My wife loves the boneless Chicken Visuvio and chicken Marsala. Their family-style salad is fantastic. A must-try!More

This was our 3rd time there and our worst experience. We were seated 20 min after our reservation and we were crammed against a wall. There are no benches or anything to wait. The tables and people were packed in like sardines. Our waitress was...great, but the 2 hostesses that are always there were very iritable. The restaurant was louder than usual. The dipping bread was hard as a rock and cold when you tear it open. Food was ok, but not as good as it has been. People just don't seem to want to dress up to go out to a nice dinner anymore. A grown man in his 30's had a slouching beenie on the whole time. Not the experience we were hoping for, especially for a birthday dinner.More

Went in and requested a table for 4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant. The hostess’s response, tone and facial expression was very rude. She made it seem like we were bothering her. With all the other great restaurant options in Lemont, I will cross...La Dolce Vita off my list of options.More

Horrible food and bad service. Sauces tasted like they were out of a can. Spaghetti had very little sauce on it and other entrees were truly tasteless. Waitress rushed us. Never asked if we wanted additional drinks. Did share specials.

This was our long drive to have Italian for many years. Only been to Dolce a couple of times since covid and not returning. Salad was dripping with excessive dressing. Mentioned to server who flipping said “guess that is personal preference”. We don’t know anyone...who likes soggy lettuce that drips oil with every bite. Mushroom ravioli was undercooked. Pasta dish dry, little sauce, flavor off. Only good experience was a good wine at a fair price.More

Meals and service were excellent. Prices are reasonable. Ample menu choices. AC underperformed on a very hot and humid day. Acoustics need work. Hard to carry on a conversation with background noise.

Decided to try this place for the first time since the restaurant we usually go to for take out was closed. We ordered 2 chicken entrees to go. The dinners came with a salad and pasta. I asked if the pasta could be aglio olio...and was told sure no problem. I ordered an extra side pasta also which was not a full size portion. When I got home I noticed I was charged $11.75 for the extra. When I called and asked why I was told there was an additional charge for aglio olio which was not disclosed when I ordered and that it was that much money because they make there own sauce. I would assume an Italian restaurant would use garlic and olive oil regularly. The food was nothing special either. This will be the first and last time visiting this establishment.More

We have been dining here since they opened under the original owners and it has NEVER let us down!!! The bread and oil never fail. The house salad served family style has absolutely addictive strong balsamic dressing perfectly seasoned that stays with you! We tried...the sausage and peppers; rigotini with peas and crumbled sausage in tomato cream sauce; spqghetti and meat sauce, etc. The rigotini is pictured. All were excellent and perfectly portioned. Ambiance is genuine and warm old-school. It is a place that warms the heart and fills the belly. Service is attentive and personal. Don't miss it! And keep going back like we have!More

When my grandchildren eat the meat balls, this is where we come back to. Italians are very particular, &. Critical of Italian restaurants. We compare dishes to the ones we serve to our family. Best calamari, melts in your mouth, in the suburbs. Kid friendly....Weekends, make a reservation.More

Absolutely incredible quick and friendly service! We had one waitress for 12 people. I also had to change our reservation, and management was very accommodating with all of our requests. The food as always was delicious. Thank you for making this a special night.

Have been here many times for the past five years and loved it, and today was the worst service ever ! The waitress told us they were understaffed and kept apologizing. We waited over 2 hours for our food and no management came over ever,...even when some of the entrees were cold We would normally give 5 stars to this restaurant, what a disappointment and frustration that no one on the staff seemed to careMore

Bartender had an attitude with an empty bar. Food was just ok. Draft beer was warm. It was better before the pandemic even though they didn't close the second time. They put the customers health in jeapory. Will not go back.

We had reservations at 6:45 but didn’t get a table until 7:45. That’s probably why the bar does so well. Too much a garlic on the food. Fish special (grouper) was good.

I don't know. They would have to call La Dolce Vita directly.
