We experienced another wonderful Sunday Brunch. The quality and service is very consistent visit to visit. The unlimited champaign and mimosa's is a nice start to the bunch! The wait staff is so helpful, considerate and friendly. Reservations are recommended. Inside and outside seating is available. Most people were dressed nicely. Large groups are handled nice. There were three while... More

We chose this place to celebrate our 42 wedding anniversary. We have eaten in a lot of places over that time. This place has what it takes. Atmosphere, food, and service all superior. White gloves. Great find.

We had a chance to visit the renovated historical Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest recently with friends. Having eaten there many time before we had high expectations. The hotel and the dining room look even more beautiful and cozy than previously, however our dining experience was less than exciting. The menu has been sharply curtailed, missing many of our... We celebrated a birthday here for dinner and highly enjoyed it. We sat outside which provided a beautiful setting. They have nice outdoor heaters to keep you warm as it gets cooler. They had an extensive wine list and the food was delicious. Our servers were very attentive and nice. I highly recommend this for a nice evening out and... More

We visited the Deerpath with another couple this past Saturday. It was a beautiful evening and we were seated in the garden. We have become big fans of the renovated Deerpath and it has become one of our favorite places. We may, however visit less frequently in the future after our disappointing recent meal. My husbands steak, ordered med. rare was... More

We ate there for dinner one night followed a few days later for brunch. We were able to sit outside on both occasions, but the internal dining room looked very smart. The food quality was first class and the wine choice varied and reasonably priced. All three of us thought the brunch was exceptionally good value and the buffet choices... More

The English Room at the Deerpath Inn in Lake Forest, IL has reopened after the hotel and its restaurants underwent a complete renovation. We ate in the Garden Room of the English Room, and the view is beautiful The food was delicious, the service outstanding and all in all a delightful experience. The only negative was that it is a... Very good penne arabiata and crabcakes. Staff is also very helpful and friendly. There is also a nice beer list with a few on draft. We had a lunch in the Glass Room and it was good and we will go again next time we are in the hotel. Recommended!

There are two dining rooms, my preference is the enclosed porch-like area that has high glass ceiling and large windows over looking the English garden. The service was excellent, friendly attentive waiters, the menu had a good variety and selection for anyone's palate. My meal was artistically presented and delightful on the palate. Very generous helpings.

The decor and setting shines with the high ceilings and wall of windows overlooking the patio. The food and service are as good as ever.
