The rude manager Diego lost customers tonight for $3. We live in Knollwood, across the street from the restaurant. When arriving we sat ourselves, as instructed by the sign at the entrance. We were the only customers there. We ordered the guacamole and the price...was $7 on the menu. When we got the bill and were charged $10, I went to the front counter to ask the manager about it. He scolded me, saying "Yeah, didn't you read the sign?" He pointed at a sign on top of the front counter that said due to an increase in cost for avacados, customers will be charged more for any item that includes avacados. This sign wasn't on the tabletop placard and we weren't told this by our server. It definitely wasn't reflected on the menu. We never went to the front counter since we had seated ourselves, so did not see the little sign. I explained this to Diego and he said he'd have to talk to the server to remind her to tell customers about the price increase. I asked if he would take the additional charge off our bill, and he said "No, I won't do that." I said "I will leave a review to warn my neighbors about this and describe your response to this situation," and he said he didn't care. There's many great restaurants in this area. When we choose to go out to eat at the end of a long week, we don't need to be treated like this. Life is too short. It's not the $3...it's the uncomfortable feeling I would have giving this new restaurant in our neighborhood any further business. I hope the owner reads this and takes it seriously.
