Just off Historic Route 66, the Joliet Route 66 Diner offers exactly what you would expect for a diner. They serve only breakfast and lunch, so plan accordingly. The menu is typical diner fare, but try one of the lunch special hot sandwiches if they are available. Usually it is something you didn't know existed.

This place has turned into a run down restaurant. The place was not very clean and the interior has not changed in thirty years. Don' t go there if you have a choice.

was in Joliet and needed a place to eat so I parked the car and walke down the quaint downtown. I came accross this diner. The name hooked me. It is a classic diner, like in the 1950's . Diner bar with bar stools, and tables. I sat at a table. Staff was nice, and service was quick. Food was... More

We only had sandwiches and tea one lunchtime when we'd really only stopped here to see the Rialto Theatre (as we did Route 66). Staff very friendly; food was good & not expensive. Quite a lot of Route 66 memorabilia, posters, articles, photos, etc, so worth popping in to check it out.

Jury duty brought me here today. Décor is simple. They attempted to create a diner feel, but it falls short. The cream of broccoli soup was pretty good, but the burgers were pre-pressed frozen burgers you can buy at a warehouse grocery store. Not all that great...

We were staying at Harrahs casino and were looking for other options for breakfast since the buffet doesn't serve breakfast. This little diner is just a couple of blocks away and was recommended to us. We were the only patrons when we arrived, which was a little worrisome. We were greeted as we came in the door. Immediately offered coffee... More

A nice cute locals kind of place. It's clean with friendly service, and right downtown. A short walk from Harrah's. Good breakfast, and the prices were reasonable.

This little diner was amazing! The service was excellent and the coffee never empty and delicious. Our food was plentiful and inexpensive as well as being very tasty. I would highly recommend this place!

We read about Joliet 66 Diner and had two breakfasts there that we throughly enjoyed. The waitress was very friendly and visited with us. The whole place offered an environment of relaxation and friendship.

Had read about this location and decided to stop in for Sunday Breakfast. Plenty of parking in downtown Joliet. The place was clean and very retro. Wall signs from the 50's and 60's everywhere but not over done. We sat at the counter which was a long counter with old school top. They have a wide menu but as usual,... More
