Jameson's is a family owned and operated restaurant that has been serving quality steak, chops and fresh fish in the Chicagoland area since 1990. Open to the public and located in the Prairie Lodge in the Sun City Del Webb Community, Jameson's Huntley features seating for over 200 patrons and overlooks the spectacular 18-hole Whisper Creek Golf Course through the floor to ceiling windows surrounding the restaurant. Jameson's features a beautiful stone fireplace, outdoor patio seating, and sports pub, making it a great place to relax and dine with friends and family.

Highly recommend Jameson’s Charhouse in Huntley! Every time we have had breakfast, lunch and dinner we have had excellent food & excellent service. We even had excellent food and service with the curb side pick up. Our ribeye steak dinners were perfectly cooked and everything was very delicious! Excellent job once again! Thank you staff and management at Jameson’s Huntley, IL

I can only give this a 3 star review because we felt like the service was not the greatest. The food was good though. My husband and I took our adult son for his birthday and we were a bit disappointed. When my son asked about the beer, they didn't have a menu and so he asked what came in bottles and she brought him a can! Then when we asked about deserts they did not have a menu for that either.

Water in Your Expensive Drink Anyone??

We ate at Jameson's for dinner prior to the Fidler on the Roof show on 11/22/24. The show was excellent. Jameson's was okay. The manager (some guy) was rude. He is in the wrong business. Our food was good as it usually is since we frequent this restaurant often. What I didn't like was the waitress poured water into my expensive drink and ran often. I was so shocked that she didn't offer to bring me a new drink. Normally, the servers are much better than what we experienced last night. Our waitress was invisible, so we counted on other serving staff. Very disappointing a moderately priced meal with drinks.

Bug in my Food

We ate here on April 14, 2024 and I found an dead orange ladybeetle in my salad. The waitress was apologetic and indicated that she'd tell her manager. The manager never stopped by the table; no compensation was offered. Management at most restaurants would be horrified to serve a bug to a patron but the staff here seemed unconcerned. The salad obviously isn't washed and it's reasonable to conclude that additional food-safety measures may be skipped in the kitchen.

First time and plan to return for more when in area again.

Great atmosphere. Food was great. Service was good and attentive. Steak was cooked to perfection. Loved the rolls. Ran out of “noodles” for chicken noodle soups so substituted with tortellini which I didn’t eat but soup ad wonderful flavor and plenty of chicken. Would recommend to all who are in this area for a beautiful relaxing dinner

Nice restaurant with good food and service. Beautiful surroundings outside. Each of us had something different- Cheeseburger, Meatloaf, Chicken Marsala and Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass- all were excellent! Would highly recommend!

This was a nice restaurant at a half-way point to meet up with a friend. Service was very good, as always, as was the food. We ordered a club sandwich and a julienne salad.

Great specials/great service

I discovered this place on TripAdvisor while traveling on Sunday They have a great menu, however, the waitress said, would you like to look at the specials? Who is hard to choose but she recommended the Parmesan crusted Seabass and cream of chicken soup which both were absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced excellent service and quality. Glo was the best waitress I have had in my travels!

We had a party of about 20. The service given by Tony & Stephanie was outstanding! The good was very good! Atmosphere great. The children & the adults really enjoyed the toy train exhibit. Thanks to Tony & Stephanie!!

I've been a long time Jameson's fan, and have dined at many of their restaurants. The Huntley facility is, however, not on a par with the others. The steaks are quite small, and the cooks have no idea how to prepare one, unless you like bland. My son had the rib eye. It was small, bland, and full of fat. I had the beef kabob which consisted of about four tiny pieces of tasteless beef, a few pieces of green pepper, onion, a small tomato wedge, and part of a mushroom. The rice was pitiful. Soup was fine, but the breadsticks which are served, instead of the small loaves, were so so. I remember having generous portions that were tasty at the other restaurants, and usually had to take some home. Jameson's was a trusted name for quality food. It's a shame the folks at the Huntley restaurant don't share the same values. It's supposed to be a family chain, so I'm surprised the family hasn't stepped in to make an improvement. In the future, I'll just get a sandwich, and look elsewhere for a quality steak.

Bad service and mediocre food

It started with bar. They could not make an acceptable whisky sour. Simple to make simple syrup, whisky, lemon juice. They said no simple syrup in bar and they don’t carry it. So how can they make most cocktails. Then server was slow since we did not order alcohol. Food cold when they served. Crystal Lake Jameson’s much better. Server did not come back tipped busboy to refill our water glasses.

Comfortable Choice

Why do I say comfortable choice? Because living nearby it's easy to get to and the food is good and most of the waiters/waitresses are great! The only thing I'm noticing is their menu is sneaking up in price. I know this is a public restaurant but it's located in a Del Webb community in Huntley and the prices should be a little more accessible to retired, social security type people. I know we'd go more often but can't afford it. Food is good. Portions have seemed to have gotten smaller. Lots of times I get a double vegetable and not a potato and it looks like just a bit larger than a regular serving. Their prime rib sandwich is really good and my husband likes their Chicken sandwich with peppers and cheese. I hear their steaks are good but can't afford those. Their artichoke chicken is good but again went up in price so that's out of the questions. All in all it's good and overlooking the golf course is nice.
