We bought a Groupon to try this place, about a 25 minute drive from our home. We were greeted and seated promptly and water and a bread basket arrived quickly even though the restaurant was pretty busy. We both ordered sandwiches, each with a side of potato pancake - a lean pastrami for my wife and a corned beef/pastrami combo... More

Max's deli is everything a deli should be. Kosher pickles on the table during lunch for you to munch on. Breakfasts are great. Fantastic meeting place for friends and family. Hard to pick just one bakery item.

We had the corned beef sandwich, lox and bagels and potato pancakes. It was the best ever. I will definitely come back next time I am in town. Service was great and the desert selection was amazing

Never had the same portioned CB sandwich twice. The chic m ball soup is just broth. No chicken, no veggies. Never seems to have enough help

A good deli is worth its weight in gold and this one is no exception. I really like this one and I like the taste of their corned beef. There are a few places in the area that put more cloves in than I would like but Max's does not. The sandwiches are good, the matzoh ball soup is delicious... More

Whether looking for breakfast food morning, afternoon or night, Max's is the place to go. Large portions of eggs and yummy potatoes...pancakes...bagels with lox and cream cheese... Great, friendly service. They can handle groups, large and small, and have a counter area if you prefer.

The sandwiches had a lot of meat on them and can def. be shared. When I'm back in the area, I will def. stop by and have... More

Good Jewish style Deli. Portions are large enough with breakfast all day which for me is a big plus. I guess in the mid west this may be as good as it gets??

Great option for traditional Jewish dishes, & deli. Usually busy but seating & service efficient. Good value for quality & quantity of food. A treat to taste what Jewish traditional kitchen has to offer. Eat in or shop for deli items for home. Great for families. The restaurant  is not, however, a trendy chic place if you are looking for... More

It's good plentiful Jewish Deli food. Price is on par with others in the Chicago area. The problem is the owner. I can't repeat his reply's on Yelp. Look his replys to the reviews there to find out for yourself, he's sneaky and the 1st line is a normal reply then he'll skip a line and get nasty....real nasty. His... More
