The Muraka bar and restaurant is situated on a long pier. I have dined there before and it was excellent. This time since I was on half board only went there for drinks. A very tastefully done terrase with comfortable chairs makes you enjoy the...fabulous Mirihi sunsets. Unbelievably beautiful. Tip: try the bars fresh fruit cocktails ! Great place for high tea and then an open bar. The scotch is Johnnie Walker Black and the pours are generous and as many as you want. Passable red. Great nibbles.

Been to this restaurant three times now. it’s part of the Mirihi Island resort. It is suspended on stilts above the reef. Drinks first..on the deck, to watch the sunset (unbelievable sunsets)..then inside, barefoot, to the 5 star restaurant. The menu gives a range of...food, but focuses on the fresh, and abundant sea food. I personally went for the Australian Angus Fillet. One of the top ten steals I’ve ever had. On top of all this, there is a view directly into the reef while you eat. Sigh....More

There are few greater pleasures to be had a Mirihi than relaxing on the deck at Muraka sipping a cocktail (I highly recommend the Hugo) and nibbling on the gourmet canapés. One evening we observed some large sharks from the deck and big schools of...fish. The sunset of course is also wonderful. We had the Asian Spice menu here one evening. It was delicious and a nice change of pace (although the buffet is wonderful I quite enjoyed not having to make an overwhelming choice). One particularly enjoyable evening included Mohamed (guest relations and talented musician) singing some of our favourite songs while we sipped gins and watched the sun slip away. Magic. The staff are exceptional and very friendly (but that is true of Mirihi as a whole). All in all we made it part of our daily practice to have a sundowner here and recommend others to the same.More

Very good with friendly staff.We was invited to cooktails from the resort and could choose from a lot of good alternative. Just sit and relax and enjoy the sun going down in the ocean. Fab!

Excellent cocktails, very unique and individualistic. Only has cocktails there of the only 2 days we had sunshine but we were so fortunate to experience it.

Loved the casual dining here, sitting on the beach or under the fans mid day to keep you cool. The food is always so fresh and the chef even cooked the fish my husband caught fishing! Loved the home made ice cream as well. I...have to say everyday was something new and special on the menu!!More

The buffet at Mirihi is no doubt one of the best in the Maldives and head Chef Felix makes sure that the selection and quality of the food is amazing. If you’re on the island for more than just a few days however, then a...romantic meal for two at the Muraka is a must! The ambience is just perfect, as the restaurant is surrounded by the sea and the tables inside overlook an open area that is lit up and attracts all kinds of fish, including trevally who dart in and out catching the smaller ones that are attracted by the lights. We had a Maldivian lobster with papaya and some truffle ravioli for starters that were both divine. As mains, the seafood platter was out of this world as was the barramundi and the portions were so filling that we could not manage to indulge ourselves in dessert. The restaurant has ample seating, both inside and outside and so even though the resort was fully booked, the restaurant was not crowded. If you want to impress someone or just chill out and have a quiet, romantic meal, then do visit the Muraka and take home yet another amazing memory from magical Mirihi.More

This restaurant is just beautiful beyond words. We were there everyday for the entire period we were at Mirihi for pre-dinner cocktails. It was relaxing, and the cocktails were just made to perfection. The restaurant provides a perfect view of the sunset, and this is...definitely the highlight of Mirihi. Canapes are served with cocktails, and the canapes have been varied and just perfect every single day. What a luxury to be at Muraka. Simply amazing.More
