We booked a table for 730 in the middle of January, and I'm so glad we did, the place was packed! The waiters were very attentive and friendly and we had great banter with them. I mentioned that it was one of our parties birthday, and when her dessert came, they had put a candle in and sang happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. The food was lovely. We had garlic bread and olives to share, we all had starters, mains and dessert and the bill was less than £180 including a bottle of prosecco and four pints of peroni.for the quality of food this was really good value for money. It was a fantastic meal in a lovely little restaurant, I must mention the toilets which had hairspray and deodorant in, a lovely little touch. It was my first time here, but definitely won't be my last! Thank you

Local restaurant just round the corner (aren’t we lucky). We went early on a Saturday evening, storm Brian blew us through the door into a busy, warm, welcoming space. We had booked ( you need to) the service was good ( they hadn’t skimped in staff which is sometimes an issue at other places) the wine was good , the garlic bread and cannelloni were hot fresh and delicious... the bill was just under £40 for the two of us! Fantastic place!

Nice to see our favourite local Italian restaurant doing takeaway service again, and we decided to take advantage of the Valentine's special offer. Any pizza bread starter, pasta, pizza or risotto main plus two tiramisu desserts and a bottle of Prosecco for £45. I phoned early to book a time for collection, arrived on time and everyone was busy with a steady flow of customers coming and going. Usual very efficient service - Thanks Charlotte - and then home with my order. Food was fresh and piping hot, the two risottos (one chicken, one seafood) were excellent as was the tomato garlic bread. A pause and then our desserts with a lovely glass of chilled Prosecco! Another really good meal which was excellent value for money, these lovely people really deserve support in these challenging times and it's such a boost to morale and is the second best solution to being able to eat out. Thoroughly recommended 10/10.

We were very impressed with our first visit, a well layed out, comfortable restaurant just 10 minute drive from home in nearby Bolton. On arrival we sat at a nice window table and ordered drinks with Claudia, the friendly, helpful waitress. The wine was quickly served and we decided on a starter of garlic bread with cheese which was very tasty, followed by our pasta main courses. My wife ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and I had the Linguine Al Salmone both cooked to perfection. After coffees we settled the bill which we considered good value for money. The menu gave details of a 'Steak Night' every Wednesday and we expect it to be our next visit. We really enjoyed our visit, good food and first class, friendly service.

We have dined at Casalingo’s on many occasions, from a romantic meal for two, to celebrations with friends and every time the service and the food is outstanding. It’s the best Italian restaurant for miles around. We also had our 3rd Christmas Day lunch at Casalingo’s and once again, the food and the service was delivered in impeccable style. Thank you team Casalingo you do do a fantastic job. Keep up the good work. I’m constantly praising you far and wide. May you continue you have happy customers leave and return..

One of our absolute “local legend” restaurants. Always a warm welcome, food is fresh, beautifully cooked and always well presented. Fantastic wine list. And the desserts are just heavenly. Consistently high standards and never disappoints. A little gem in the heart of the village.

I don't really go on sites, my last review was a family restaurant in Corralejo, my 2nd home. I have visited many times over the past years its a fantastic restaurant with a caring relationship with its customers, the food is fantastic, a touch of classic Italian food, I love pasta but small portions, and they know I am easily over faced I love it there, I come as often as possible. And always a lovely reception.

As we couldn’t eat out the second best thing is takeaway. We had both had pizza and so glad to have them open again. Fresh, tasty topping. Fantastic base and absolutely no grease in the pizza box, which for me is always a sign of a well made pizza. So enjoyed and I can’t wait for next weeks treat. Bit gutted they had sold out of the cheesecake but the chocolate fudge cake was suitably sweet and just stodgy enough to line the mouth with chocolate goodness. For those who are concerned about C-19 they have great system in place to ensure distancing measures are maintained and hand sanitiser on hand for you to use.

We decided to travel to Casalingo as we fancied a Italian meal and this place had mainly good reviews. Firstly we noticed how busy it was and thought food must be good, we ordered a caprese salad and a chilli and onion garlic bread to start which was both lovely and a great start, my husband ordered for mains seafood linguine which tasted ok small portion for the price and I ordered a chicken cacciatore the chicken tasted really odd and decided not too eat it and sent it back, the waiter said the chicken was fresh and there was nothing wrong with it and blamed it on the sauce, but I suppose he's not going to say the chicken is off, the waiter came across as abrupt,I changed it for a king prawn linguni again this was average and not much taste. Felt very rushed and was not a relaxing meal out, staff very busy and seems stressful, probably taking too many customers and needs to focus more on on a smaller amount of diners to give better quality.

Had to visit relatives for family circumstances in not great times and finding somewhere to stay was hard enough, but getting some good food was a joke... thankfully wasn’t too far from Casalingo. After googling and finding they had just reopened placed an order, we certainly were not expecting a wide choice so we were surprised to see their takeaway menu was, in my view, huge. Food was hot, delicious and ready for collection when they said... disappointed we couldn’t eat in and wished we lived closer as gems like this need to be supported so they can return to full service and not disappear due to lack of support. Thanks to the team ... from taking the call, preparing and cooking to handing it to us.. great job and please stay safe and open as we cannot wait to eat in soon.

I hate Domino's and Pizza Hut's gluten free options -they're always smaller than the normal pizzas, soggy and virtually tasteless. So I was super excited when my bf found Casalingo who had GF pizza, pasta and desert options on their take away menu. Even though he had to wait a little for our order the staff were really apologetic and gave him a beer on the house so all was forgiven. He ordered a prosciutto and ruccola pizza (on a regular base) and I had a goats cheese pizza on a gluten free base. I had to ask him to double check that mine was GF because it was AMAZING! They're clearly using good quality ingredients. I also highly recommend the sauteed spinach with garlic and chilli as a side! And even though we were very happily sated we still managed to find space for a gorgeous tiramisu at the end! We will absolutely be ordering from here again (and hopefully eat in when the covid crisis is over).

We got our dinner from our favourite Italian restaurant last Friday evening. Very easy process, rang to make the order, was allocated a time slot, paid by card (but cash is an option too). Food was delicious and piping hot, made a lovely change and has really cheered us up. We're really looking forward to coming back to see you all under normal circumstances - hopefully soon - but until then we will definitely be back for more.

Casalingo is a proper Italian restaurant, my favourite one. The food is really tasty, amazing. We asked for Amatriciana and the chef made for us even if it was not in the menu☺️ The staff (Joanne in particular) is making the most of it in this difficult time. Looking forward to come and eat in the restaurant when this is over 🎉♥️ Thank you Casalingo 🇮🇹🎉

This is my favourite Italian, I was really pleased when I heard they had started offering take away during lockdown. The Linguine ai Gamberoni that I always order was just as delicious as ever. There was no wait for my food, and they served me outside with proper social distancing. I can't wait until I can visit inside again, but I would definitely recommend the take away.
