Having lived on this island for over 25 years and been in and out of the Port of Soller as one does I have always noticed the great big sign above this restaurant but never been in....... My Partner and I went in for dinner on Friday night and WOW!!!! We were quite simply blown away by the standard and incredibly high level of the food from its presentation to its flavour and to its absolute value for money. I really can not big our meal up enough. It was quite simply outstanding and delicious. Great staff and very professional to add to the food, not least a very pleasant and comfortable out look from the restaurant itself. I cant wait to go back. Highly highly recommend trying Kingfisher for lunch or dinner at your earliest convenience.

Set just up from the port this restaurant requires booking, particularly in the summer. I had a late lunch and the restaurant was still packed outside. Great service and meal was delicious. I had the fish stew and can’t fault it. Would happily go again

For many years Kingfisher has been the stand out restaurant in the Port offering a small but brilliant menu in a stunning location and a unique friendly atmosphere provided by the very best team. We have recently returned from a trip to Soller and visited Kingfisher on 3 occasions. There is a new menu and we had to try as much of it as possible! Over the visits we tried the panko calamari, the cucumber soup, truffled burrata and smoked fish, the veal dish of the day but the true standout dishes were the guinea fowl, the sea bass Mexicano and of course the fish and chips. My partner is a devotee of the Kingfisher fish and chips and so when he ordered the sea bass Mexicano there were gasps of surprise and delight! He was in for a treat a large perfectly cooked fillet of sea bass served on a delicious corn purée with chorizo pico de gallo and small new potatoes.I had the dish on my earlier visit and it was extraordinarily good. I also had the guinea fowl it was a special of the day and had home made hummus, cous cous and a small amount of the most perfect sauce. I would love it to be added to the menu, as I want to eat it on my next trip. The fish and chips even seem to have got better and have the best mushy peas ever, which is saying something for a girl from Oldham. Congratulations to Krisztian, Mitch and the team we cannot wait to be back!

Enjoyed food and service We had lunch at Kingfisher‘s today and we really enjoyed it. We had fresh fish of the day (Dorada) and it was nicely prepared, very tasteful and its money worth even though the neighboring restaurant offered the same fish for less money. Service, way the food was prepared, time of preparation were excellent. Can only recommend that restaurant.

We had a lovely dinner with a nice view. The service was fast, the waiters were all professionals and very welcoming like Csongor! There was a waitress who had a huge knowledge on the ingredients and served dishes! She could always answer the question we had. Very impressive! The dishes are homemade with extremely high quality ingredients. They just taste super good!!!

This place was booked up every evening for three weeks so we got lucky as we popped in just as a lady was cancelling for the next night - we took it right away. The setting is decent over towards the port and we were given some delicious cheesy bread with suns dried tomato alioli to whet our appetites. Great start. I didn’t want to have a total fish extravaganza so plumped for the burrata starter (I’m a poet) but it was a tad disappointing. The burrata was possibly a touch too cold as there was no oozing stracciatella centre, it was stiff and to be honest I wasn’t crazy about the acidic dressing. My wife’s prawns on the other hand were superb, succulent and tasty - a sure fire hit. My wife had the fish of the day, a whole sea bream with some home cut chips while I went for the sea bass with pancetta and cauliflower three ways, again both solidly well cooked but the sea bass accompaniments were a little over fussy for my taste, less is more sometimes. Dessert was exceptional, I had the tiramisu with a Vietnamese coffee poured over affogato style - truly delicious. My wife had the almond cake with almond ice cream which was almost as tasty, she loved it. There was a strange affair regarding the wine, I tried to tell the (apparently new guy) that I like good wine and was looking around the €50 mark but he veered me towards the cheapest bottle on the menu. I thought it must be a special they’ve just got in for a great price but sadly it really wasn’t. We got half way through and (I believe) the dry affable owner came over and switched it for us without charge which was a decent gesture. These guys obviously know their stuff and they know how to cook seafood, I’d absolutely return and hope that every course was a winner for my personal taste next time.

Our family came in from the opposite end of the island to visit Sóller and the port. We booked a table at Kingfisher for lunch and we were not disappointed We had the Asian-inspired tuna ceviche as a starter and the perfectly grilled fish of the day, sea bream, as the main. The staff were not just gong through the motions. They were generally pleased to see us and share their understated passion for their culinary goodness.

From my initial email correspondence with the owner and chef, Krisztian, and then upon being greeted by him at the lovely seaside restaurant, you could tell that this is a person that is passionate about the food and the service. It was not only Kriztian, but the entire staff, that provided 5* service and food. After looking at the reviews and No. 1 TA rating, they had something to prove and prove they did. They deserve to be No. 1! The drinks, starters, dinner and dessert were outstanding from the moment we entered until we left. The conversation with all the staff and the detailed description of the food was excellent. It was a memorable night for us.

We had an excellent lunch here. The service was attentive and very friendly and the food prepared with lots of love. To the excellent fish of the day (dorada al plancha) they served home made fries, salad and three different sorts of salt. Every part of the menu was commented and explained. The quality of the food was also very good.

We had lunch here on a Sunday Tuesday afternoon and were really impressed with the quality of food and service. We ordered the ceviché and jumbo prawns as a starter; seafood soup and sea bream as a main. The olives were soft-fleshed and juicy. They were served with freshly baked corn bread. Our favourite dish was the ceviché, which was full of flavour and fresh. Our mains were served with three different types of sea salt. The attention to detail in presentation and taste of dishes was outstanding. Would highly recommend a visit

We had tried to book a table here for my wife's birthday, but sadly it was fully booked. On a hunch we decided to pop in anyway in case there were any no shows. How lucky we were that a table had come available. The olives and cheesy foccacia was the nicest bread and olives I've ever tasted and the aioli served with them was amazing. We shared a starter of Calamari which was again beautiful and very fresh. P.s. this was a huge starter and quite enough for 2 people in my opinion. For our mains, my wife had the sea bass with cauliflower 3 ways (I tasted it and thought the creamed was the best, but it was all fantastic) and I had the fish of the day (Dorada. Absolutely 💯). We were too full to finish the hand cut chips or even contemplate a dessert. This is my new favourite restaurant in Soller and although it's a little more pricey than some others, it's worth it. My favourite touch was the 3 different types of salt served. 1 of which tastes like fried eggs (true 😁) We'll definitely make this a must visit place whenever we return.

Wow! Our best meal in Soller. The owner clearly loves his menu and delighted in telling us all about the dishes. The menu was pretty much entirely seafood and was absolutely fantastic. As others have said - the dishes are special but not too fussy or pretentious Great service. Worth noting you need to book - early! We did have to eat at 6:30pm as it was the only a lot we could get on the last day of our holiday - they were fully booked for the next 5 days. Still enjoyed it though

We visited this restaurant twice in three days as it was so good. The food was really wonderful and the service was outstanding. Delightful, friendly staff with a genuine interest in making us feel welcomed, and they catered for allergies and dietary requirements with no problem at all - excellent service from the chefs. The views over the port are lovely, with mountains and yachts providing a lovely backdrop to the friendly and warm atmosphere. A swim in the sea followed by a long lunch here is a good day! It is wise to book in advance as this is a popular place.

We visited kingfisher twice during our stay in Puerto de Sóller. Both times for lunch as they were fully booked for dinner way ahead so book before you travel We were a pax of 4 and bot times we spend 200 eur incl tips. The olives, aioli and bread is the best around. Simple but high quality. Else it’s the seafood which is the star. Great fish and chips, fish burger, tiger prawns. For us though the star was the calamari rings which is the best we have ever tried, the black linguine with sea food and then above all you have the fish soup which is to die for. Quite honestly it’s amazing and I could eat it every day. The service is great, not rushed, personal, attentive and friendly Would be very happy to go back

This has a deservedly excellent reputation, making it hard to get into. We booked well in advance and had a great table right by the wall - and had a wonderful meal and great fun, loved it! The server encouraged us to be a little adventurous and I'm grateful he did, he offered to debone the fish of the day and did a great job, and it was delicious. My advice, book super early, and relax, you're in safe hands here.
