Visited when the establishment was 1/4 full. Was seated in a minute. Two minutes later ordered, and within eight to 10 minutes was eating breakfast. The food was good. What impressed me the most was the efficiency. I watched a table of eight leave and within three minutes the table was clean and reset. Your team out front consisted of five to six girls. It was impressive watching them set up for a party of 12, as the 2nd wave of customers came in closer to 11:30am. It's obvious, your profit needs to be put back into the building w/ staining/varishing tables, ceiling tiles, etc. The team there though is unmatched. I'll definitely come again!

Stopped here after a college baseball game. The tomato pasta soup was excellent and also the French onion soup. We both had BLTs and they had tons of bacon. The fries were extra fresh and hot. It would have been five stars if the restaurant would be a little more updated.

This restaurant is dirty. Waitresses & other workers who take your $ are very cold & rude. Food is Terrible! They put rolls on top of germy cracker basket. Who Wants To Eat Unsanitary Rolls That Are Put On Top Of A Dirty Basket?

All the water glasses had particles on them, even the replacements. The grilled chicken is plain and bland, the pickle even tasted old. Sausage was frozen actually cheap frozen sausages they cooked up. Eggs were overcooked, French toast was even bad. Bathroom had toilet paper shoved in a whole so others couldn’t see in. Will never be back

This please used to be a common restaurant will a decent menu, great food and welcoming staff. Now the menu is pretentious with a very small selection of over priced entrees. Probably won’t go again and head somewhere for straight up bacon, eggs and pancakes.

Great new menu with awesome service and new owners. Food is plenty and fresh. Prices are average for today. They offer military & first responders a discount which is pretty cool

With so many choices and great service, we are regulars at this family friendly restaurant. American choices and Greek favorites too. They have a nice senior menu as well. Homemade soups are delicious.

I used to eat here a lot after moving to Grayslake but got tired of seeing them putting rolls on top of the dirty filthy germy cracker basket which everyone touches. They also put the dirty filthy germy cracker basket on top of the serving plate. People touch these baskets and crackers so there's lots of germs.
The restaurant does not look clean and I do not like the food. It's cheap and they have senior discounts but I just don't care for it. Staff is not super friendly also.

I do love a diner wth a liquor license, fun to lunch or brunch accompanied by a glass of wine. The traditional fares are the best: club sandwiches, soups, pancakes. I am disappointed in the omelettes as they are overcooked. The salads are huge & delicious. Choose wisely and you’ll become a regular.

I went there recently and had their Irishman's Skillet, which was very good. It tasted like homemade corned beef hash, nothing like the canned stuff. The waitress was wonderful and very friendly. I would have preferred pancakes instead of toast, but it wasn't listed as a choice and I didn't ask, my error. The atmosphere is pleasant, if a little dated, but that didn't affect my visit at all. I would definitely recommend this place for some good old fashioned food.

This is a super restaurant with an extensive menu for all three meals. Any breakfast item is fine as far as pancakes, French toast, and eggs are concerned. The omelettes are thin and dry, avoid them. The soups are plentiful and delicious!
The typical sandwiches are wonderful. I haven’t been there for dinner.
The wait staff is fantastic! You cannot find more accommodating people.
Oh, and they have a full bar.

Met a couple of friends for breakfast. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly. The portions were large and tasty. The coffee was just okay.

Do you ever get a hankering for a simple bowl of good soup? It's that time of year, with a chill in the air and soup on the brain. A friend and I had been hiking in the area and happened upon a "local joint" and their sign announced HOMEMADE SOUP!
What a find! It is an "old school" family restaurant with a huge menu but I just chose basic soup and a sandwich. They feature the same soups every week on the same days and I lucked into the Chicken Couscous, which was to die for. I'm not into spicy or fancy...I like solid family type fare and this was delicious. The sandwich that I chose was egg salad, which I rarely see on a menu, and I thought my mom might have been in that kitchen. We were full but gave the rice pudding a try and, boy oh boy, piled high with whipped cream...wowser.
The wait-staff was friendly and efficient and the prices were very reasonable. If you are cruising Lake County and want some good homemade food this is the place to go.
I've been twice in the past month!
