We stopped in here for Chinese and buffet type food. The service was awful, but the food was good. I paid $35 for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat. Like a normal buffet, I thought the waitress would bring drinks.....Nope had to get them ourselves. The buffet was full and the food seemed decently fresh. There were several dishes that were very good. As 2 of us eat a restricted diet (no sugar, lo-carb) it was great that there were plenty of options for all 4 people dining. At one point my son needed to ask the "waitress" where the bathroom was. She didn't even speak enough english to answer that question, other patrons had to help with that. Would I come here again? Probably not, since I am hardly ever in this area and it was just ok. Was it a decent and pleasant visit? Yes. Despite the inflated price and the poor service the food was good and the restaurant was quiet and peaceful. I won't comment on the decor or anything because that didn't really affect the quality of the visit.

I used to visit this place twice a week for lunch from work. Picked up to go orders which they sold by weight. Eat-In optional avalible too. A small variety of items to choose from. Standard items off a chinese Rest Menu. Quick & easy if your in a hurry. I ran in to an issue of after lunch hours 2PM food old & not fresh...even cold a few times. I got badly sick once from cold food. Gave them a second chance last month & still have a #2 issue from warm food. I will not be returning for many better options in Granite City than this one. However, If you go during peak hours 11:00 - 1:00 and 5:00-7:00 you should be fine. The price has recently gone up and cost an average of $9.00 a person for dinner.

The amount of food on the buffet is plentiful but cheap. Most is not worth eating due to the taste. Not a very good Asian restaurant.

Lunch for 8 bucks n change, but you get a nasty return. Food at noon is old n brownish , dry ... majorly disappointed

My father , who recently passed, this was his Favorite place. Good place for quick Chinese food. actually the butterfly shrimp was darn good.

The food was pretty good. And the pot stickers were and always are delicious. Value was ok however the restaurant needs updating in and out.

Nothing special here. Good variety to select from. The staff kept food tables well stocked and restaurant was clean and well maintained. It will do in a pinch, but other than convenience, I found the food bland and nothing really stands out. Of course, what is to be expected of buffet food.

Very good selection of food, but need to change up from time to time. Love the mussels and green beans. I'm concerned about the food being so open - may need some type of covering with opening. They need to rehab the bathrooms........

When Great Wall first opened the food was really good and plentiful and well worth the price of the buffet. Like so many restaurants the longer it is open the less management cares about providing good food and a clean environment. The food on the buffet always looks old or reheated, not appetizing at all. So we quit going, and from the comments of friends it hasn't gotten any better.

was looking for chinese food for my husbands b-day, couldnt find one in our area, ran across this place, it was decent, the food wasnt very appetizing to me, looked like it had been there a while and wasnt very much of it, it was lunch on a friday. did get your drink with it though, was about 7 dollars.

This restaurant is bad news. They didn't acknowledge my presence at the counter. They took my money, gave me change and utensils, and went back to playing cards. Not one word was spoken. The food on the buffet was mostly old. The rest was cold. To top it all off, the restaurant is dirty. There is a film on everything. The caddies for the drink cups are downright filthy. Cobwebs, dust and dirt all over. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I like the selection of this buffet, however the price continues to rise. Some of the dishes remain hot and fresh while other dishes are barely warm, need to maintain heat on dishes more consistently. If you are looking for a lunch value, this is not it. Never been here on a weekend of evening.

I've been a patron of this restaurant for many years and have always been satisfied with the quality of the food, which is always fresh and hot, and the variety of the selections is very good, which includes beef, chicken, pork and seafood chinese dishes, and a variety of deep-fried breaded meats, including very good egg rolls, not to mention a salad bar which includes salad items, cold seafood, and fruits, and the price of around $10 for all this is pretty good these days for all you can eat, and NO extra charge for drinks, which is annoying at many buffets. I would recommend this restaurant.

We stopped at this place on a whim. What a surprise. We went back two more times while we were in the area. The seafood was good and the catfish was excellent. We only had the weekend buffets.
