We have always loved this restaurant and the quality and love that goes into the preparation of their food. Recently we had take out for the first time at lunch and found that their luncheon portions are as large as the dinner ones and at a very reasonable price. The Rigatoni Al Salsiccia is absolutely amazing as is their homemade ricotto stuffed meatballs, plus so many more. Thank you, Nicolaou Family, for bringing your Old World Italian dishes to us!

We ate at the Riganato last night and I thought the food was amazing. Nick's calamari appetizer was especially good. My husband had a steak and it was cooked perfectly and my tortellini with italian sausage was wonderful and the portion super generous. We ate outside and the all the servers wore masks, so it felt very safe in this COVID 19 season. The restaurant isn't on a popular downtown street, but you can enjoy the amazing food here then walk off your dinner on 3rd street.

Our Party of 5 went to dinner on Saturday. The Fried Calamari was delicious. Pizza with pepperoni & sausage was great. Greek Pastitsio, was tasty, very authentic, and a huge serving for one person. I ordered the Cheese Tortellini, and my serving could feed 3 people. I am Italian, so sauce needs to be authentic. This was more like tomato paste thick, but not to my liking. Deserts were all very good. Limoncello Cake, mouth watering. The staff are all extremely friendly. There is a full menu, with selections to please everyone. There is a small outside patio. Tables inside were all social distanced.

This restaurant is located in a quaint old building converted from an old house about a mile from downtown Geneva. There is plenty of parking in a long ramp for wheelchair access. We were hoping for a nice Italian style dinner but unfortunately were disappointed. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Sea Bass which turned out to be a nice large serving of fish, but the fish was under seasoned and full of Bones. My dinner of rigatoni primavera with sausage was overcooked dried out and not as warm as it should have been. The sausage was especially overdone, dried out and hard. If you want to try this dish be aware that it is not served with any kind of companion sauce. Just pasta and vegetables so it will be a little dry. The restaurant also serves bread at the table but ours must have been warmed in the pizza oven for too long so it was brown and crunchy and unable to be eaten. I don't mean to say that the food was horrible or inedible, but for the money we paid we expected more. We do have compliments for the service however as our waitress was very nice and responsive. I could see that other tables around us were getting good service too so it must have just been a bad day in the kitchen.

The food and service was top notch. Jimmy and his staff delivered a meal of Itlaian beef and sausage sandwiches, pasta, salad and accommodated a few specific dietary needs also. The college students and serving crew enjoyed the delicious supper. St. John's Lutheran Church, Lombard, IL

my daughter and i went here for lunch and the experience was amazing! The minute you walk in the door, you just feel warmth and welcoming. We loved the homelike feel. The owner introduced himself. One of their “regulars” was in the back room where we were seated. His act of kindness (paying our bill) was beyond anything i have ever had happen to me! The food is incredible. I loved the variety of the menu which offers both Mediterranean and Italian selections. We started with the Mediterranean spread platter which consisted of lightly toasted pita points with hummus, whipped feta spread and tzatziki, all homemade and perfect. We had the greek lemon rice chicken soup which was delicious! My daughter had the chopped salad with huge grilled shrimp and balsamic dressing. I had the RIGATONI AL SALSICCIA which was amazing with sausage, sweet red peppers and vodka sauce. Outstanding! The food, friendliness and atmosphere deserve more than five stars! Well worth the hour and a half drive and we will definitely be back!

We had dinner here on a Saturday evening before our son’s hockey game. We had a large group of parents and 13/14 yr old boys. The staff was so accommodating and very friendly. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Some had burgers, some had pasta, some had the chicken kabobs, some had the Branzino special. We shared the octopus, mussels and beets appetizer-all very tasty. Good food and good atmosphere. We would definitely go back if in the area again!!

Riganato's continues to be our go to place when we are in the Geneva/St. Charle's area. They have a varied menu, very friendly staff, and excellent, reasonably priced food with large portions. They continue to be extremely allergy friendly. They are almost completely soy/soybean oil free including their fryer. The owner even took the time to call the bakery to double check the ingredients on the bread.

Went for a family dinner while we were in the area. Far surpassed all expectations. The restaurant is small (built into a house), but all the staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. We got the calamari and Baked feta and tomato for appetizers (the latter was great with their bread) Chicken Riganotos, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Butternut squash gnocchi, a Meatball sub, Rigatoni salsiccia, and one of the specials (sort of like cannelloni) for entrees. All of the food was fantastic, and the portions were very large. Ended up getting a tiramisu cheesecake to share for the group. No complaints, but the joint was so busy we did have to park at the mulch store across the road. Would definitely recommend!

Under impressed. Food had to be sent back because it was at best, lukewarm. Seabass was over seasoned with olive oil leaving an oily taste on the palate. Seasoned potatoes were ok but not complimentary to the fish. Tables so close together offering very little privacy. Calamari app was very good. Serving a cold beer without offering to pour, tacky. Paper menus and no tablecloths, no thank you. Try harder. Do better.

We met a friend at Riganato’s for dinner hoping for a good meal, but expecting nothing special. The staff was friendly and service was excellent; so far, so good. When the entrees were served, we were stunned; the food was amazingly good. We have dined at many of the best restaurants in the metro area. Riganato’s entrees were equal to or better than all of them. Our friend agreed and she has an exceptional palate even putting wine stewards to shame. We will all be back even though it’s not close for any of us.

We are friends who enjoy lunching together. We loved Riganato's. It is a cute restaurant in an old house. The interior is very casual but comfortable. It is located just outside a cute suburban town with lots of good restaurants and can hold its own. Service was friendly and personable. I had the steak salad which was the best I've had in a long time. The gnocchi were light as pillows. While the mussels were very small they were tasty and the sauce was delicious. Pricing is reasonable and the portions generous. Can't wait to go back!

Terrible. Ordered the 8 ounce rib eye steak sandwich. Order it medium rare. Well, the server should have told me that no matter how you order it it's going to be well done shoe leather. This was about 8" long on italian bread and the steak itself wasn't even 1/4" thick. HORRIBLE! I won't be coming back. Only good thing - our server was amazing.

Interesting little place, offering a great selection of delicious food. We went on a Saturday night, full house, literally! Cozy dining area, packed with what felt like family. The atmosphere was friendly, the smells divine and the waitstaff treats you like family. Grilled octopus was wonderful! Pasta with Marinara sauce delicious. Ending the meal with Lemoncello cake was the best! Didn't try them but, caught sight of the biggest meatballs I have ever seen! I kid you not! Planning a trip back to try those meatballs! Didn't try the pizza but, endless line of take-out pizzas through the door.
