My wife and I enjoyed a few evening hours in this relaxing restaurant /bar just a few blocks from downtown Galena. We stayed overnight and slept very well in a king. The BLT flatbread pizza was made perfectly and contained no soy or dairy which causes her problems. I had a small salad and a great homemade vegetable soup. The... More

Genuinely warm and friendly - and efficient - servers really added to the wonderful surroundings of this pub. A wide selection of beers and spirits, with a real nod to Ireland. We had both a lunch and dinner, and the food was excellent at both.

Shepherds Pie! It was delicious yumminess. I've made it at home, but never had it in an Irish restaurant. A really neat place, too. If you're heading to Galena, a good place to stop.

We stop in for a drink every year but this time we had dinner. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals & service was great. I had the Shepard's Pie which was great but too small to be a meal. I would consider it to be an appetizer rather than an entree. We would definitely eat here again. It is... More

We decided to have dinner here the first night of our stay. I had the Paddy Melt and my husband had the Corned Beef Sandwhich. Food was very good. We also had breakfast the next morning, which is included with the room rate we choose. It was also very good.

The Gaelic steak is one for the history books. Served perfectly cooked with a Jameson's cream mushroom sauce. Skip the other steak houses and try this. Not ordinarily a pretzel roll fan, I found myself lapping up the yummy sauce and asking for a second roll. We ordered one plate and split it. Our bartender,Joy, spelled out options for a... More

The waiter actually sat with us for a minute as he was describing the offerings. Very friendly place. I had Irish nachos which were great. Initially we were told the window seating was closed but when we pleaded to sit there they made arrangements. There was music that night and we needed to have a quiet place to sit. Music... More

They have live entertainment frequently. Great atmosphere, and some small rooms for cozy gatherings of 4-6 people, which access the bar at both ends
