A bit pricey I thought for breakfast but well worth it! Very good, homemade food! Lots of variety, would definitely return.

After checking out a number of menus along Main Street, we opted for the Golden Hen Cafe. We were greeted warmly. Breakfast is available all day. I had a grilled veggie sandwich. The meal also included soup (salty broccoli rice), fries, and cole slaw. All were good, but not exceptional. My companion had breakfast--eggs, canadian bacon, hash browns, and pancakes,... More

We went for a late lunch and because it was such nice amount of food we didn't need to go for dinner. The sandwiches all came with soup, coleslaw, and fries. Everything was the perfect amount. The service was very friendly. Cute place!

I'm a Galena native and they have amazing breakfast and a fresh juicer for orange juice. They serve you a complimentary appetizer either tapioca pudding or fresh fruit.

One of the best omelettes I have had, fresh vegetables, spinach, onion, tomato, broccoli, cheese was melted perfectly and it was fluffy no oil not a bit of grease. They are served with has browns again done to perfection and an option of toast or pancakes. The OJ is fresh and you can watch itbee made. The service was fast... More

The menu looked interesting for breakfast and lunch but the food was nothing special and the place was not very clean.

A big lunch, when we're planning on walking & seeing the sights, just doesn't appeal to us, so we often seek out something with 'lighter' options. This charming cafe turned out to be the right choice .. We shared the 'Chicken Herb Wrap' with two cups of 'Broccoli Cheddar' soup & a coleslaw side. The portion was plentiful, and, looking... More

We arrived around 9am the restaurant was not too busy...yet. Our waitress brought us a small serving of fruit and plenty of coffee. We had breakfast here two mornings, my omelettes were perfect, I chose the side of fruit instead of potatoes, that was a nice option. I would definitely choose this cafe for breakfast again.
