We had lunch here on a busy Saturday. The food was average and the service was disappointing. Took a long time to refill a glass of water. Didn't feel it was a good value.

Stopped here for lunch. Their soup was excellent, homemade. Had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich and it was good. Don't usually eat many french fries, but these were excellent.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. He ordered bacon and eggs. I had the hen house chicken sandwich. He enjoyed his, mine was not very good. I ate less than half. I would think an item named for the place would have been much better. Best part of my meal was the iced tea, which I would've liked... More

They were not exactly happy to see us come into the restaurant at 2:30 pm on an extremely busy Saturday after the lunch rush. There were plenty of places to seat. The food was okay, nothing speculator or worth mentioning and the service was poor. The waitress were eager to gather in the back near the kitchen and chat, making... More

The service was a little slow here. The food was good. We didn't have to wait long at all for a table which helped because we were starving. The only negative thing I have to say about it was that the women's bathroom was extremely filthy. It didn't look like it had been cleaned at all before we got there... More

Good food. Ample portions. Reasoanble prices. Attentive server. Could use a little sprucing up. Sort of a "local" feel.

A bit pricey I thought for breakfast but well worth it! Very good, homemade food! Lots of variety, would definitely return.

After checking out a number of menus along Main Street, we opted for the Golden Hen Cafe. We were greeted warmly. Breakfast is available all day. I had a grilled veggie sandwich. The meal also included soup (salty broccoli rice), fries, and cole slaw. All were good, but not exceptional. My companion had breakfast--eggs, canadian bacon, hash browns, and pancakes,... More

We went for a late lunch and because it was such nice amount of food we didn't need to go for dinner. The sandwiches all came with soup, coleslaw, and fries. Everything was the perfect amount. The service was very friendly. Cute place!
