This is one of my favorite restaurants in Galena. It's a quaint place run by Chef Juan. He is are always polite, friendly and fun. Taco Tuesday is a great deal - $2.00 tacos and $3.50 margaritas. Chef Juan makes his dishes from scratch. The pork simmers for hours and the tamales...yum, yum, yum. My new favorite menu item after... More

The 4 of us were welcomed with joy and provided with tasty food at great prices. When Chef Juan came over to talk that explained why this place combines quality food and such a welcoming atmosphere. Glad our inn keepers at the Stillman Inn recommended Ayalas to us!

Ayala's has great Mexican food. Chef Juan and his family know how to make great Mexican standards. Just about everything is house made. The burritos are massive, filled with fresh iceberg lettuce, rice or beans and other fillings. The Pastor, Carnitas and chicken are all great choices. Unlike some Mexican places, you won't find unidentifiable chicken parts and fat, just... More

We love this place. We never really tried the old place on Main Street but after they moved to Diagonal we decided to try. We were really pleased. I had the Steak Taco Dinner and my wife had the Fiesta Nachos.

We at here on a Saturday night (2 weeks ago), we were looking for a place that had both vegetarian and meat filled options. My fiance and I opted to get some burritos...one beef, one vegetable. OMG were they good..and HUGE! We barely got through half of ours, and took the rest to go for later. Dinner plus two alcoholic... More

My wife and I found this place by accident. We were shopping with our dog and looking for shade to cool ourselves. We saw the patio beside the restaurant with tables and umbrellas and we sat. The owner came out and we asked if it was ok to sit and he said "SURE". He told us the kitchen was closed... More

Came for a casual diner with friends the other night. We started off with some cocktails, which were very good. The staff was really polite, warm and friendly. We ordered a combination of different items from the menu. By the time they cleared our table, all that remained was a corn husk from a tamale!

Went to Galena from a Sunday to a Wednesday and a lot of the restaurants on Main St. were closed during the week so my husband and I decided to try out Ayalas. The location has moved its no longer on Main but on Diagonal street which is literally walking distance from their old spot. My husband and I walked... More

We went with friends on New Years Eve. They have a new location on Diagonal Street. Service was good with large portions. A little pricey, but the restaurant was clean and everyone was very friendly.
