Grant and Lincoln both visited the Desoto Hotel. Lunch was good, and we enjoyed looking at the lobby and learning more about the history. Wish we had stayed here due to the location and parking. I don't see the walking tour that begins outside the hotel on things to do, and it was excellent and given by a couple, Mr.... More

The DeSoto Hotel is beautiful! So was the Green Tavern itself. So much history to see! Our food was delicious and the service was good! I enjoyed their Mac and Cheese!

We stopped in here on a hot summer day. There was a wait to be seated, but it took even longer to get menus, and then longer still to get someone to take our order (had to flag someone down). I got no refill on my water and the air conditioning was ineffective as the door opens into the seating... More

We had the artichoke and roasted red pepper dip, pulled pork sandwich and the Cuban. Everything was delicious. The location is great--on the main streat with all of the shops.

Had lunch at this restaurant after taking the trolley tour. Had a nice lunch and my wife had a great Bloody Mary. Good service and set at the very interesting and historic DeSoto House hotel. Be sure to stop by.

We were tempted by the historic location and atmosphere of the restaurant. Additionally, Green Street offers a gluten free menu. Our food was satisfying. The service was friendly, maybe not the fastest, but as enjoying a relaxing lunch, that was a good pace for us. The Blue Cheese soup was a unique taste, I would recommend. A solid GF menu.... More

During a weekend getaway my wife and I decided to pop in to the Green St. Tavern for lunch. Upon arrival we waited for the hostess who sat us at a table and didn't give us any menu's or silverware. 10 minutes later a waitress shows up and after tending to a table that sat down after us asked us... Galena is a pretty nice looking town to spend some time in and this restaurant reflects just that. I had a fantastic experience with the food and service. Staff is very down to earth and friendly. Their salad was perfect (can't remember the name though). I tried the white chicken chili (chef managed to find the ingredients from scratch) and... More
