Some things never change, and that's a good thing.

The BBQ pork sammich and the "Mexican Special Plate" are two of the repeat dishes we order every visit. Same-same, and that's a good thing 'cause when you are doing it right, you just don't mess with perfection. A great dive, a true hidden treasure

To the people who complain about this place being overpriced: don't order 9 separate things. Order a plate of something and it will be much cheaper. The tacos are out of this world. I have been eating here for over twenty years and I have never had a bad meal. The restaurant is clean and full of nice people. Service... More

My grandfather ate here every day or at least had a cup of coffee and knew the owners very well. It is a little diner/dive type of place but I say that with a great deal of love. The nachos and other Mexican food dishes are great and they make a fantastic BBQ Pork Sandwich. As far as I know... More

The locals have kept this place in business for over 30 years. If you eat there once you will understand why. The large enchiladas with extra cheese and super tacos are both to die for. I have to go back every 3 or 4 weeks to get my fix.

Based on good reviews, decided to have lunch at the Chuck Wagon while visiting Fairview Heights. Unfortunately, reality did not live up to the hype. Although they warned us the plate was hot, tragically the food was not. Barely warm and quite bland except for an occasional bite of something spicy, it was only edible because we paid more than... This place hasn't changed a bit, since the 80's. But, that is not to say it's shabby. It's a very clean and well run establishment. The food is good. The servings sizes are generous. The price is reasonable, especially for the area. It is a great place to bring kids. The burgers are great. They're just greasy enough. As the... More

For all the things that change in life, this place seriously never does. Menu options and prices may increase a bit, but once you walk into the door, you are immediately transformed back to the past. The Tex-Mex tacos, burritos and nachos taste the same as they ever did. My parents said they remember Chuck Wagon being their first introduction... More

I have been here since a child. I moved back into town and looked forward to eating here. The price for the food is outrageous now. Two people and we ordered a total of 3 enchiladas, 2 tacos, 1 nacho and 2 sodas. Over $30. Wow. As much as I loved this place as a kid I will now be... More

This is a great looking place on the outside with a big nice parking lot and a really nice interior with a lot of interesting things and pictures on display. You order from the counter here, I ended up getting three separate menu items, a tamale(stated to be made in house), a tostado and a chili Frito pie. All three... More

We've been eating at Chuck Wagon for many, many years......The food is affordable and yummy! My son, who is now a grown man, has many happy memories of us eating there with a group of our friends. He now goes there with his friends!
