Quiet and elegant the Stained Glass would be great for a special date or celebration. The food is interesting, unique and delicious. A little pricey for everyday.

Stained Glass is a lovely restaurant in the heart of Evanston, serving food that is reliably delicious and not outrageously expensive. Vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are available as well as exotic dishes. Service has always been cordial and efficient. I has been a good place...More

We had a family dinner here on a Sunday night. There were only a few tables that were occupied so the sound level was low, which we like. The flights of wine choices are very nice and the pours good. The server was excellent. All...More

Loved the foie gras appetizer and cheese course. Both were outstanding and large portions. Wine pours (glass and flights) were generous. We really enjoyed the diver scallops and lamb chops entrees. Only downsides were a relatively small selection of bottles, close tables, and average bread....More

We've eaten here several times in the past so it was the first place in Evanston I thought of when coordinating a place to eat with some younger friends. The waiter wasn't attentive and the meal left much to be desired. The lobster bisque was...More

Our team had a dinner here to welcome a new colleague into the fold. The food was exceptional, with attentive service. We shared the baked artichoke, crab cake and deviled egg appetizers. The first two were fantastic, the egg, just so-so. I had the rushing...More

We hadn’t been at The Stained Glass in quite a while. When we were invited to a dinner with friends this evening, we were just lukewarm about the idea. However, when we arrived, we were so pleasantly surprised. The venue is completely different. Well lit,...More

The restaurant does not really have a view. I suggest you ask them what they recommend. There where no better tables as it is s pretty small place. Maybe one in a corner?
