I lived in Elmhurst many years ago and enjoyed take-out from Nathan's. I had forgotten about it until I did a recent online search for a Thai restaurant not too far away. I returned, finding a charming dining room, friendly and attentive service, and great...food. I am a vegan and had no trouble finding tasty meat-free and egg-free offerings. On my first visit I had the Drunken Noodles, and just this week had the Pad Thai, both delicious. The server, Abby, was charming and attentive. Nathan's is now my indisputable go-to restaurant for Thai food!More

I have spent many meals here, but it has been 7 years that I had been back. The same Owner has kept this Great little Thai Place a GREAT Little Thai Place. She even remembered me and my standard order. Chicken Pad Thai with Extra...Chicken and a Heat level 7 on her scale of 1 to 6. As usual, She Nailed It!!! Wonderful flavour, Sweet Heat, Savory Chicken, just what my body needed!!! I Highly Recommend Nathan's if you are in North Elmhurst!!! The lunch special is always delicious and filling, with the soup and egg roll for about $10.More

I’ve been to Nathan’s Noodles a number of times. Always had friendly service and I love the food. The Crazy Noodles (pad Lee mao), pad Thai and pad see ew are all very good (I’ve had them mostly with chicken). I also recommend the fried...Rice’s, especially the basil fried rice and the Thai fried rice. The online takeout ordering is also very convenient for those times you need on-the-go food. All-in-all it’s a nice place to meet friends and share a good, reasonably priced meal.More

Enjoyed the Pad Thai for lunch. Included was soup, appetizer (egg roll, spring roll, or cucumber salad) along with the lunch selection. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Will definitely visit again.

Got takeout. It was OK. Just 4 shrimp on dry Pad Thai. Did not have straw mushrooms in Tom Kha. Charged $2.50 for a palm-sized side of brown rice, which I thought came with the soup. Got some rolls that were supposed to have several...items in my them, but only had carrot, avocado, and cream cheese. Small portions and chintzy with the proteins. Bummed because it’s really cute in there.More

We ordered a garlic noodle, drunken noodle, Thai rolls, and chicken satay. The satay was rubbery, the rolls had fishy and likely not-fresh shrimp, the drunken noodle had hardly any noodles, and the garlic noodle smelled like it'd gone bad. I'd go back if the...restaurant started using fresher ingredients.More

I was here two years ago, almost to the day, and rated it 3 stars for mediocre food and bad service. This time I rate the food very good and the service improved. It was the same server and I could tell she's trying. I...ordered Pad Thai and although the portion size wasn't huge, the flavor was spot on and it was properly prepared, even down to the juicy lime wedge. They even had proper Thai music playing softly. I'm glad I gave them another chance.More

A hidden gem in a strip mall. Great dishes and nice soup. Thoroughly enjoyed the spices and flavors and size of dishes. Will be a regular customer.

The Thai rolls are out of this world! They take a little extra time to prepare, but are worth the wait. We ordered the chicken Pad Thai and a medium spicy red curry with beef. Both dishes were nothing short of excellent. I have eaten...here many times, and I am never disappointed.More

Went to Nathan's Noodles after someone told us it was really good Thai! I should have whipped out my iPad and logged in to Tripadvisor first. I ordered the Pad See Ew chicken, my friends the market price fish, and garlic noodles. The garlic noodles...were ok, she was really hungry and it disappeared quickly. My noodles were burnt and really hard o. The ends like they had cooked them once already and then warmed them again. The ends were curled and burnt. The chicken was ok but I wasn't feeling like it was fresh. My other friend de died to splurge and get the fish snapper dinner, it was $20 of mostly barely edible WHOLE fish. He had to traverse among the bones and skin to get to the meat but the outside of it was honestly as hard as a rock. I wasn't sure if the glaze was supposed to be like that or whether again it was rewarded. He got some good pieces of white meat but not much. The avocado on the plate looked good, thinly sliced. But you can get great Thai why settle for ok?More

I had the Hawaiian fried rice dish, and it was delicious. I finished it off with the coconut ice cream that was so good we went back for more.

My daughter and I went to this restaurant yesterday for the first and last time. Our meals were not very good. Her shrimp was so fishy she literally spit it out and my chicken had such a strong poultry taste and was so rubbery. We...ate a few bites and told the waitress our meals were not good and she gave us our check without talking to a manager or asking if we wanted something else. She could not have cared any less that we were so displeased. I paid $20 for something we didn't even eat! Never again!More

I have eaten lunch here a few times a month for the past few years. It is an OK Thai restaurant, with average food. The service is acceptable, but not friendly or engaging. On the plus side, ona busy work day, I could get in...and out of this restaurant in under 30 minutes. This has it's benefits. The lunch portions are small. I have seen many male diners around me order an extra appetizer to go with the combination plates (app, soup, and entree). I agree that the normal lunch plate is a bit too small for most healthy appetites. The prices, however, are also low. I would still eat here again, as the main alternative is Wok n Fire, and that is much more expensive.More

A previous review said best Thai in Elmhurst. For residents' sake, I hope not. I try not to let poor customer service influence my review/rating, because the server you get may be better than the one I had. But this young Caucasian woman, instead of...saying hello, greets customers with "For here or to go?" and doesn't have the slightest idea of what table service means. Certainly doesn't know to ask if the food is OK and brought the check before I was half through eating. Alright, I'm done ranting. I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice for dinner. A fairly large portion came out quickly (only person dining at 5:30, so it was early) molded in the shape of a bowl on their decorative plate. It lacked any of the seasoning associated with this dish. Instead, it had some black pepper sprinkled on top. Vegetables were of the frozen variety: carrots, peas and corn. The atmosphere is a bit sterile, with no music playing (thankfully the flat screen was off) and some Thai photos on one wall. The dining room is clean and plastic roses were in a glass on half the tables. Overall, if you don't mind the service, the food isn't bad, just not very Thai in execution.More

This is a hidden treasure and well worth the drive I make here from Western Springs. Love the Pad see elw (try the duck) and chicken satay (best peanut sauce ever). Soups are great too. I always get the cucumber salad, enough to eat for...2. Everything is fresh and simple. Great for carry out, because the line is sometimes out the door for lunch. No drinks, which I think hurts their dinner crowd. I eat here twice a month. Pay in cash and save $$.More
