Food and ambience

Parkers' Restaurant & Bar is a chef-driven, full service, contemporary American restaurant and bar serving lunch, dinner, and private functions. The restaurant features fresh fish and seafood along with high quality meat and pasta preparations. The restaurant is housed in a transformed New England-style building on Highland Avenue at 31st, just north of I88 in Downers Grove, a western suburb of Chicago. The ambiance is casual-upscale with a mosaic tiled, open kitchen adjacent to a 150 seat dining room featuring a polished hardwood decor. The cozy, 50 seat bar and cocktail lounge area features a dramatic, wood vaulted ceiling and live piano entertainment, in the evening.

My wife took me there for my B-day, and it was a quite nice. Food, in quality, presentation, and quantity was terrific. Our server was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, and her suggestions for a main course, desert and wine pairing were spot on.

Waited 10 minutes before a waiter showed up to even take a drink order. Our waiter seemed lost and lacked customer focused. Might’ve been new as he almost needed to be told what to do. Poor service and experience

We came here once a week to see our favorite bartender and have Happy Hour items. We stopped coming. Why? They haven't changed the menu in YEARS and we just got tired of it. It's just okay to begin with. There are far better tastier...More

The food at Parkers' is outstanding! I don't think you can go wrong, but you can go extra right by dining in the bar at happy hour! Limited menu to burgers, lobster rolls, some pizzas, and several appetizers, everything is half price. Quality is still...More

I went here for dinner on a Monday night with my brother. The decor is a classic and classy white-tablecloth style restaurant. There is plenty of free parking in the adjacent lot. My brother ordered oysters which were supposed to be a specialty of the...More
