Average coffee shop restaurant. The omelet inside the hash browns is a specialty of the place, but there's a reason you don't see it elsewhere.

Four of us had lunch here as we all liked what we had. The Honeyberry salad was especially good. The spinach and feta omelette was ordered made with just 2 eggs and was a perfect size, also served with fresh fruit that was both ripe and tasty. It's a nice restaurant and we will return.

Gail's has an awesome menu, and the taste of the food is generally good. Today was a little bit of an exception where my omelette was overcooked and dry. And the restaurant was completely understaffed!! Our waitress was very pleasant and when she was helping us, she was good. But she had most of the restaurant that she had to... More

We went to Gail's Carriage Inn hoping for their biscuits and gravy special, but they did not have that on Friday. Pancakes for the kids, crepes and omelettes for the adults and oat meal for the senior. Everything tasted great. Service was efficient. Portions were quite large.

Went with fiance' for breakfast because I had a Groupon. Walked in and was immediately seated and my server was pregnant which I give her props for, but on Groupon they say they're gonna automatically add 18% to bill well guess wat we have her 40% so who ends up losing? Plus having to make reservations for a breakfast place,... More

Ordered the spuds signature dish What A Ham for $8.59. This is hashbrowns encased with diced ham, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and American Cheese with scrambled eggs. A dish to die for. Service was good and they had ample parking. Noticed many customers were regulars who were called by name. A very friendly place. Son ordered the apple pancake ($12.99).... More

Have been coming here for 20 years, and it is still as good as ever! If you enjoy hardy and fresh breakfast food, this is your place. The omelettes are huge and the pancakes plentiful. My personal favorite here are the cheese blintzes! They are heaven with a side of strawberries! The portions are generous and you will more than... More

Gail's used to be located in Mount Prospect, but according to their website, they are now located in Des Plaines in an entirely different building. The restaurant is actually located in Des Plaines on Elmurst Rd. (Rt. 83) and is just north of Algonquin Rd. The food is good, the portions are great, the staff is friendly. You wouldn't want...
