You don't come here for the food so much as for the ambience; it is a real neighborhood bar, friends meet here, push tables together, and drink and eat. birthdays and holidays are celebrated. it is an everyone welcome bar, from families with chldren to seniors, townies and gownies. But it does have some special dishes, we especially like the... More

Great place to eat in DeKalb. We each had something different. Beef brisket, Italian beef, and broasted chicken and it was delicious. If you have never been there, you should give the place a try.

If you like the bar & grill scene sans college kids, this place is for you. Located on the South side of DeKalb, you will find video games, TV good food and drinks.

Twins is a local institution. I go there for the Pot Roast sandwich. It reminds me of my mother's pot roast for Sunday dinner. I usually have them hold the cheese that usually comes standard. Draft beer prices are very good--especially if you drink standard American beer.

In town for business on a factory tour. The host took us to Twins Tavern, a local favorite. He recommended the pulled pork on a pretzel bun. Very tasty. Soft bun. A great recommendation. Others had the philly steak, and the daily special of meatball sandwich. All passed with flying colors. Great service. It's nice to see small town America... More

Been to this great local hang out many times. Always crowded with farmers, business people and long time area residents. The pot roast sandwich is great. Comfort food is their specialty, game room that no one seems to use for other than eating in, popcorn on the table and a bar that runs across the length of the restaurant is... More

Arrived with a group of 12, they quickly made room for us on a busy Friday night. Restaurant was full of families and groups of regulars. Group I was with has been going there before the MS bike ride for years. They raved about the mini-tacos. Food was good, service timely, drinks nice & cold. Prices were incredibly reasonable. We'll... More

Whenever we are in De Kalb, we have to eat here. On this trip, we ate here 2 days in a row. Italian Beef sandwich is one of our favorites, but everything on their menu is exceptional! Priced reasonably. Twins has a "homey" feel to it, where everyone knows your name. The waitresses/bartenders are upbeat & courteous. The restaurant is... More

When I return to DeKalb I alway attempt to make it to the Twin Tavern. I never fails to provide good, simple food, good beer, and a great venue for conversation. One can alway count on all three.

We've been going to Twins Tavern for over 20 years. Seldom do we walk in when there's no one there we know. The spaghetti on Wednesday nights is the best in town (maybe all of DeKalb County), and the weekend broasted chicken is similarly delicious. Mike, the owner, is usually on hand to greet newcomers and welcome back loyalists. The... More
