Huge portions, excellent prices, specials and a great atmosphere. Very good service. I’ll be back many times over. My chicken sandwich barely fit on the plate and easily can feed two.

My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, after a wake.
We thought it would be a good pick me up, and it was.
My wife had the bloody Mary - and said it was very good.
We both had the Seafood Gumbo- an excellent choice.
My wife went with the brisket sandwich, she liked the flavor and the sauce.
I did the Etouffee. This was a really good version. it used Mashed potatoes, instead of rice.
Shrimp or Chicken is an add on for this dish. (????)
I am a fan of Cajun and Creole, I have had the food before, my wife has not.
I now know WE will be back, as she likes the restaurant.

There was four in our party with one brisket sandwich, three smash burgers, and one watermelon salad. I had a cup of stuffed pepper soup that was out of this world. Burger was one of the top of the line sandwiches I ever had and came with grilled onions pickles cheese & jalapeno if you like it hot. There was sides of mac and cheese which was very good. All good and no complaints. This is a keeper.

I've had a number of bad experiences at Chuck's.
Recently, I ordered the catfish "dinner" and received a tiny piece of catfish that was barely 3x4". This was supposed to be an adult's DINNER but would not even cover a lunch bun. Even the picture in the menu showed 2x the catfish I received. Bottom line: I paid $18 but had to make a real dinner at home later.
On another visit, had the jumbalaya w/blackened chicken. Portion and taste were good; but the jumbalaya itself was a mountain of celery. Never had it served that way anywhere else (including Louisiana). Companion ordered chicken mole which was not bad but stingy with the mole sauce. When asked for some extra, waitress happily brought some - without saying they would slap an extra charge on the bill. That's pretty rude. Mercifully that dish does not seem to be on the menu anymore. Meanwhile, the customers at the next table had their dog with them on the patio, and no one cared when it was dancing all over their table top. Pretty gross.
If you absolutely have to go to Chuck's, I strongly advise sticking to BBQ or hamburgers - anything else and it will be an expensive waste of time. Personally, I think I've learned my lesson.

Crab cakes were very tasty sauce was awesome. Cajun shrimp was very good size. Great portions. I had the jambalaya with the shrimp it was good. It wasn’t overly salty like someone else’s. Jalepeno margaritas were nice touch. Maria is awesome.

A casual spot that looks like a sports bar with a touch of Nawlin's. Humungous menu offers the gambit from Jambalaya to mozzarella sticks. BBQ is the draw here, however, and I know why. My wife and I had the brisket sandwich which was delicious. The bun was piled high with the most tender beef brisket I've ever tasted. Sides are extra, even fries. The sausage stuffing with gravy was excellant. My wife chose the roasted vegetables and loved it. Good sized beer menu at reasonable prices. Our waitress Marie was uber friendly. A good place for down home cooking while enjoying jazzy music.

What a surprise! Etoffee, jambalaya, gumbo, and lots of barbecue. Who knew NOLA food could be found in Darien?
Loved dinner, lots of choices. It was hard for me to choose b/c I'm from out of state. NOLA food w/o the airfare! They even have Atiba beer!
Chuck's also has a lively banquet room for special occasions. Entrance is fancy enough forme to feel that mycapris ND T-shirt might be very underdressed. Thankfully I was wrong about that. Restaurant is casual. Food is great. Lots of tables in two main restaurant rooms. Friendly and efficient service.
And the restrooms are nice enough for a bridal party.

Chuck’s offers breakfast one the weekends and it is great. The staff, the setting, the food are all excellent. And while it opens at 8. I would strongly suggest a reservation after 9 am. It gets pretty filled up. Food is fantastic

Good place to eat. Lots of different kinds of beer. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Took a little too long to be served. They need to hire more staff.

Great happy hour nachos and light beer, great and friendly bartenders. They have a members club which allows you to accumulate points for discounts and rewards. Very attractive.

I ordered a hamburger, just ketchup, fries and a coke. I got a cold hamburger with everything but ketchup, no fries on a take out order. I called to complain and was screamed at by a young girl manager and could not get a word in edgewise. She gaslighted me by screaming out things I did not say. I called back, got a different manager and she said, "Never, never come to her restaurant gain." She called my husband dad and said, "Never say f------- shut up to me---her words, not mine. I called and talked to Chuck's sister who did the exact same thing---screaming and talking over you , so you could never say what you wanted to. It is obvious, this is how they get rid of customers who complain. Go someplace else----anyplace else.

Food and service are good. Go north on Cass and look for the Cafe on the right side. Interesting menu.

This is a great place: friendly, fast, with delightfully delicious and interesting food. I love the Boudin Balls and the Rib Tips appetizer. And they have an absolutely fabulous selection of draft beer.

Met up with some friends here for dinner while we were in town. It was SO good. The service was excellent, the prices were great and the food was phenomonal! We enjoyed eating outside on the patio.
