Kyoto is the best Japanese steakhouse in Chicagoland. Paul is the best behind the grill. We always feel special when we go there.

This is the place when you need someone else lead the fun dinner time than us trying to think "what should we talk about" when you want to have laughs and watch the Chef doing tricks and get really good food. Food was very good, as most of these grill places are. Most importantly our Chef was great !!! He... More

Kyoto is fantastic! Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, good selection, and hands down, watching the chefs cook at the table is sooooo fun! Profesional cooks, engages the customers and kids too, and soooo talented. Food is fantastic of course. Pricey, but worth the cost. I went there for my birthday and they were able to accommodate all 13 of us at... More

There are multiple choices in Crystal Lake and surrounding suburbs to eat Asian food. Kyoto will be in top of that list. We ordered chefs special and very happy. The sushi and sashimi were delicious. They also have hibachi section may be next time we will try that. For less adventurous they also have some Thai and Chinese items on... More

Hibachi to one side, additional tables for dining to the other side. it was quite busy at 5:30pm, we sat in the Bar where it was very comfortable - bartender made delicious recommendations for our specialty rolls. We were quite pleased with our spontaneous dinner choice.

I really enjoy this place to eat! They put on a show, are attentive, and you feel like you are not in Crystal Lake. There is always a wait but it's worth it. I've dined in both the grill area and the sushi area. The grill area is great for families, celebrating with friends or a special occasion. The sushi... More

We had dinner reservations for our twins birthday. We arrived at our reservation time and there was a long line waiting to get in. We were finally able to find the hostess and she directed us to the bar (with our kids??), we waited almost 25 minutes to be seated. Didn't expect that with a reservation. We almost left and...
