Mmmm mmmm good

I have heard about his place from several people so finally decided to see if it’s worth the hype and I have to say it is! I definitely have had better but not around here. The portions are good size and at a decent price. The brisket it tender and had good flavor. If anytime I’m looking for something delicious I’ll come back here for something to eat. Well done Firewater!

Great Local BBQ

Definitely a place worth going. Very good bbq place with some unique flair. It’s got a great look and is mostly worth the price. My only problem is the service is rather standoffish and tends to be slow. If you don’t mind waiting, I’d say give it a go.

Small and casual lunchtime, they do have another room to open if things get busy. Wonderful aroma when walking up to the door told me this was gonna be good. Went with a pulled pork sandwich, which was the most tender pulled pork I've had. Delicious on its own, I rarely dipped it in some Carolina bbq sauce, 1 of 5 different sauces they offer. A side of beans went well and was good, but I'd have to suggest the sweet potato fries. Dusted with sugar, they were delicious. Had some ice tea as we were working, so I can't say much about the brews. I do intend a revisit hopefully soon.

Very Disappointing!

We have had dinner from here before and in the past it has been very good. But last night we had probably the poorest prepared dinner ever. Everything was tremendously overcooked and some parts meal were just plain burnt. The rib tips were more like pork jerky. I ended up just throwing them out because they were practically inedible. The chicken was overcooked and burnt as well. They joined the rib tips in the trash. The half slab was at least edible even though it too was overcooked. Spent nearly $100 on dinner for three, and it was terrible fare. We would have been better off ordering ribs from a number of local fast food joints. Totally worthless dinner.

Great Food, Service and Catering

Karen and her team did a wonderful job catering for 100 people at our outdoor event. The food and service were impeccable! We'll be sure to visit their restaurant soon, and definitely use them in the future to cater events.

Lack of Customer Service

We stumbled on this place last year, and have been going at least every 2-3 weeks and haven't had a problem. They must have gotten some new management because the service was terrible and the manager was smug and not at all customer-oriented. He refused to give me the requested BBQ sauces without paying for them, really? I spend $60 and can't get BBQ sauces from a BBQ restaurant for my pounds of BBQ food? Absolutely ridiculous. Further when I got home, I had to subsidize with other BBQ sauce and the ribs were so fatty they were basically inedible. They have lost a regular customer for good - I'll just go back to Sharko's - never had any issues like this there!

Great BBQ!

We ordered the South Sider, pulled pork sandwiches, mac n cheese, cornbread and fries. The pulled pork and brisket were excellent. Extremely flavorful and not dry. We loved everything! The restaurant was fun and clean. We enjoy eating at bbq places and think this is one of the best in the area. We plan on going back!

GREAT RIB TIPS!!!

I have been to Firewater a couple times now and will back when I get the urge for ribs. I have the pulled pork, and the rib tips so far, both of which are very good. They seem to have found a way to cook BBQ, they have several sauces available,and the prices are in line. they have 3 locations so check them out online and when in the mood for BBQ give Firewater a try and see what you like best.

Your basic roadhouse style BBQ

Counter service, decent BBQ foods selection. We were a party of seven and everyone loved the food. I had ribs, brisket and pulled pork w/ mac n' cheese and smoked baked beans. The ribs were cooked to bite off the bone tenderness. The brisket was great, but didn't have a obvious smoke ring. The pulled pork and smoked beans were excellent. And the mac n' cheese seemed to me to be nothing more then macaroni with melted sliced American cheese poured over it. The prices were reasonable and while I didn't have any, beer is available. This place is decent, clean and provides reasonable value for the $$$ spent. Just don't expect anything that makes you go OMG!!!

I've visited Fire Water many times over the past year for lunches and dinners and tried most of their menu. I have to say I think my favorites are their rib tips and Grillmaster burger. This place is always busy and for good reason. I have often ordered pickup for gatherings at our house and it's always a hit. The ambiance is what I expect from a southern smokehouse. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Quick and delicious eats at a reasonable price. It's become a "go-to" meal for me.

Awesome BBQ

This has to be some of the best BBQ in the Joliet area. The brisket is probably the best I’ve had anywhere. Also their meals are great because they include sides and a drink. Always the place we go to when in the mood for BBQ.

Excellent BBQ. Lots of food with order. Love all the different styles of BBQ sauce to choose from. My fave is the mustard sauce. Good bang for your buck. Service is efficient. Ambiance is good! Try it, you'll love it too!

good rib tips

We ordered the rib tips and they were good. They were decent size. The mac and cheese was a little unusual. They have the mac cooked and then add a scoop of cheese sauce to order. It is kind of a southwest flair but not sure I would select it again. It was fun to taste the different sauces on the table to find our favorite.
