This place has the best pepper steak dinner. I had it with pork fried rice, and veggie eggroll. It was excellent. So much food for sure I can have dinner again tomorrow. Very reasonably priced. I had it delivered and the driver was so kind n friendly. I really appreciate his service!!!

I always order the beef subgum, which I love. They have pretty good egg rolls,, also. I love the pork fried rice.

We don't eat there only take out..but very reasonable..prices are great...they offer online coupons..always consistent.

I tried Gen Hoe Restaurant on 102nd and Ridgeland Ave (in Chicago Ridge, IL) and I was very disappointed. I ordered jumbo shrimp, beef fried rice, orange chicken, and white rice.
The shrimp was NOT jumbo and it was tasteless and dry. It had about an inch of fried breading (I’m not exaggerating) and the shrimp was actually small. It was small! They used a ton of breading to make it appear as if it was jumbo shrimp!
The beef fried rice was also dry and the beef was tough to chew, the white rice was bland but most are so that was no biggie. The only thing that my family enjoyed was the orange chicken, that was good. If I ever visit them again, it will only be for that. I’m afraid to waste my money on anything else.
Don’t even know if I should bother to tell the owner/manager about the guy who took my order. He was rude and was barking at me to hurry up with my order because he had phone orders to fill. He could have been the owner.

We have eaten from this restaurant for more years than I can remember. The quality has always been excellent with food freshly prepared. As far as Chinese take-out goes, I would consider this restaurant's food above average. They do offer dine-in, though I don't particularly care for the atmosphere. The staff, however, has always been friendly and efficient.

We always order way too much from Gen Hoe. But, the leftovers are always great over the next couple days. Our usual order is Mongolian Beef, General Tso's Chicken and Crab Rangoons. YUM!
