Very nostalgic for us to come here after many years. The artichoke fritters were lovely. The house made mozzarella was a little tough, but it was topped with a flavorful green tomato relish. BYOB

Went there with a few friends for diner. The place is really nice, cozy but comfortable. The service is fantastic. As for the food, overall it is good, although there is still room for improvement, especially the appetizers. However there are several very nice dishes,...More

Last night we had a group of twelve for a family birthday party. The restaurant was very accommodating, giving us a walled off section for privacy. For large groups they only offer a family style meal inclusive of four apps, house salad, four entrees, and...More

I’ve been here several times including date nights and dinner with friends. The food is usually fantastic. The chef does a great job with the menu. The bad, and I hope management reads this: The service is so slow and snotty. The last time we...More

The jazz trio playing and the hipster crowd and staff were a part of the charm. Food and wine were good and I'd definitely come back if I'm in Evanston any time again

Because Home Bistro has gotten such rave reviews and ***** reactions I added it to my list of must visits when vacationing in Chicago. Maybe I should have ordered something else, but decided on the steak frites. The unusual potatoes and crisp asparagus tips were...More

Habe is a great neighborhood dining experience. We had the trout and fettuccine, preceded by olives and Cesar salad. As always, a satisfying dining experience. Window table provides non-stop entertainment.

Off the beaten track but sooooooo worth the trip. Outstanding atmosphere and service, this unassuming venue has all the makings of a future destination restaurant. Remember that it's byob (I found a pretty decent Malbec in the 7/11 but I'm sure there is better to...More

PRO - Front of house Friendly welcome. CON - Food Artichoke and edam fritters - oily and mushy. Almond-stuffed dates wrapped in bacon - not certain how one screws up anything wrapped in bacon, but here was proof one can. Hard dates; re-warmed and chewy...More

There is street parking on both sides, not sure if there was a lot or not. I had walked to here.
