Authenticity may be out the window and quality may not be their key concern. Seems as though the new owner is just living off of the success of the past. Food - 3 Besides the lollipop chicken wings the rest of the menu has nothing...to crave. The vegetables were stale and bland. Always a sign when you don’t see any Chinese in a Chinese restaurant. The chicken was ok but just seems like fried chicken dosed in chilly sauce. Service - 3 Servers are just in a rush to get you out. Pretty much know that you’re here for the lollipop chicken and nothing else. Atmosphere - 2 Old cheap Chinese restaurant. It’s very disappointing to see thus decor since they just moved to a new location. Will not return. Nothing special and craving worthy. Also wrecked my sensitive gut.More

We just stumbled on this place online today. What a great restaurant. Clean, excellent friendly service and the food was superb. Their signature Lollipop Chicken Wings were tasty and just the right balance of heat/flavor. Shrimp chow menu was fresh and noodles were cooked just...right. This is our new favorite Chinese place. You don’t have to go to Chinatown (unless you’re looking for a good bakery for dessert).More

***What a sad loss.*** This place was an absolute favorite. I mean like #1 absolute favorite. I was lucky to be introduced to it by my boyfriend who had been coming here for over 20 years. In less than one short year after my first...visit, the restaurant changed ownership and the new owners decided to try and change and cheapen the food that had a fantastic reputation, instantly ruining decades of success with old-school bad business sense. This old man had the audacity to lie to me and tell me he had changed nothing. Like I have no taste buds. The wings were less spicy, the sauce was more watery and salty, the soup was less seasoned, the broth was inauthentic, the black noodles were flavorless too. Honestly if I had never eaten there before this old fool wrecked the food, it would be good enough to enjoy. But just knowing how good it used to be, it just breaks my heart to taste it. My boyfriend has vowed to never return. I suspect many other faithful customers have made the same decision or will soon. ...Oh and he reduced the portions AND raised the prices too. Below is my original review.... Favorite - I dream of those hot wingsMore

My family has been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. It was recently sold to new owners so I was pleased to find out that the new owners did not change a thing. Food is very good, fresh ingredients and even the staff...is still the same. The Lollipop Chicken Wings are the BOMB! THANK Goodness they kept the same recipe. This is my Go To place when I want to have a lunch date. They have great lunch specials. My family has always ordered the chicken for parties and it's a hit.More

I heard about the wings through a friend and I tried it today and I was not impressed. Wings are alright and skin was hard to pull. Chicken fried rice was over cooked and the chicken itself was not tasty. Orange chicken was not as...good and was sticky. I ate from many chinese restaurants including Chinatown. This is not my favorite and it is over priced. I saw roache on desk while waiting for my to go order and that turned me off. Real talk.More

I am by no means a wing person but these wings are something else. The first time I dined here was over 3 years ago. Haven't been here since, until yesterday. The wings were just as amazing as I remembered them to be. They were...worth the hour drive. Everything else on the menu is kind of mediocre though. Typical food you can find at any oriental restaurant in my honest opinion. The restaurant also seems to be located in a shady neighborhood.More

Cockroaches tap dancing on the counter and playing peek a boo from behind picture frames. I noticed after I paid so I ask them for my money back and the little lady pretended to not understand me.she then declined to give me a refund. I...stormed out and gave my food to a bum. Place smells like fish and the employees are rude needless to say I will not be going back...More

Let me just say that I have been coming here for about 25 years and the place has not changed in terms of decor. You can call it a dive and most of the customers are now hispanic which was once dominated by Koreans back...when Lawrence ave was the hear of K town. The owners are Chinese who speak both Korean and Chinese and thus have dishes that you can only find in places that cater to Korean customers such as the noodle in black bean sauce. The only reason that I and probably most of the foodies flock to this place is for their chicken wings which resemble lolli-pop after their prep. You can get it in different strength of spicyness. The other food on their menu is just ok. They have a funky credit card machine which will not let you add tip thus you have to bring some cash for that purpose. Difficult street parking on Lawrence, you may have better luck on near by side streets such as Sawyer and Spaulding.More
