Started with Ahi Tuna poke, tuna was ok, have had higher grade. Also had edamame and combination tempura of veggies and shrimp. We then ordered several maki rolls including veggie, volcano, tuna and fashion. All were below average. We thought we'd keep trying so ordered the baked scallops, fried goyza and tried one more time with Rainbow Maki. The baked... More

Went here with my brother and his wife and was impressed. The place itself was stylish and the sushi was really impressive. Felt like an upscale place and the presentations were lovely. Service was great- and the servings were generous. I can see why this is a favorite place for my family. ( Don't forget to get a reservation though-... More

Far better than the average sushi place in a more upscale environment. Service is more polished and professional, the hospitality is excellent. That being said, what matters most is the fish and this place just does it better. Don't miss their Gomae (sp?) it's the best peanut dressing ever. Ika Sansai with Seaweed salad! Their ama Ebi are better, as... More

Great neighborhood. Great food. Reasonably priced. Warm friendly environment. What else do you want in a neighborhood restaurant?

4 solid stars! Hachi works well as a great neighborhood sushi spot. It's one of the rare sushi spots without an actual sushi bar (their sister restaurant Sai Cafe does have a bar), but don't let that deter you, the sushi is just as tasty! Hachi's wins as the most baby/toddler friendly restaurant we've been to in the city. The... More

Wonderful place for a unique dining experience. The oyster shooters were impecably fresh, sweet as the sea. The soft shell crab was delicious in a special vinegar sauce. The spicy white tuna crunch was great with spicy sesame oil. The owner/ hostess was great at answering questions about the menu. I had a great meal. I would return.

All in all a nice place to sit down and enjoy some fresh sushi and the company of friends, a date, or significant other. The restaurant features a clean and distinct facade along California Avenue, which includes a small outdoor seating area. Upon entering, you encounter a shallow "lounge" which contains white leather seating if you are waiting on a... More

The fishes are fresh, and reasonably priced, but not enough selections. Nice ambiance. Had a Hamachi with Jalapeno, which was surprisingly good .and tasty
