We were hungry and in the mood for Chinese food. It was also about a 5 minute walk from our hotel. Our soups and egg rolls were very good. The general TSA chicken was a generous portion and it tasted good. However, the chicken pieces...were much too large. Service was good, but cold and impersonal.More

We had a wonderful lunch for three. We ordered from the dim sum menu and enjoyed it all. Service was prompt and efficient.

We were regulars at this location for years and thought the food was pretty good, but we noticed a decline in the service and food quality as they opened up new locations. Our meal there last week was the final straw. The service was terrible...(rude!) and the food tasted awful. I hope the owners are reading this and will do something about it. Many of our friends feel the same way. We live close by and want to continue to frequent this restaurant, but not in its current state!More

What a menu! If you like dim sum, this is the place! We prefer stir fry so ordered green beans and pork, along with jalapeño beef. Both were much better than any restaurant stir fry I’ve tried. So often Chinese restaurants are protein heavy with...a little green pepper or broccoli on the side. Many choices here include lots of veggies with the protein.More

The four of us were seated at our table with 4 dim sum menus and an iPad with a regular menu. To pass around an iPad to 4 people who all want different protein dishes is not the way we wanted to go. Asked twice...for additional iPads and finally got one more. So we shared the two. Probably would should make it easier to have everyone get the menu's on their phones. Anyways, I called before and was told they would have several options for my wife who is gluten free. This really wasn't the case. Every time they said they thought they could make it GF, they could not. Finally she had pork and fried rice, which we could have gotten in the burbs. My daughter loved the beef and noodle dish. The portions were a bit salty but huge. In the end the end, except for my daughter with the beef and noodles, no one was really overwhelmed and felt our local hole in the wall an hour out of Chicago was much better.More

This is now my first stop every time I come to eat my way across Chicago. I will keep this review short and to the point. The Spicy Lobster might just be the best plate of food to be had on the planet. Period. I...used to think it was Lobster with Black Bean Ginger Sauce I would get at Wei Wei Palace in GR, but this has surpassed that dish. And everything on the menu at Ming Hin is 20% off since the start of the pandemic. For a meal of this quality with superb ingredients and perfect execution at this price is worthy of shouting from the rooftops. My recommended meal: -Crispy Shrimp Spring Rolls (always gotta have something crispy when feasting on Chinese food) -Clams in Black Bean Sauce -Spicy Lobster -Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli) stir fried with garlic -Asahi Dry Also very highly recommended are the soft shell crabs and the giant oyster with back bean sauce. You can thank me later.More

In town for our anniversary and decided to have Chinese food. Found this little gem on Trip Advisor and fell in love. My husband had fried rice and I had sesame chicken. Both were awesome. My husband decided he wanted a lemon drop martini and...I was thinking this is not the place to get a good drink but I couldn’t have been more wrong. These were the best drinks we had while we were in Chicago. And the least expensive. $8 for a martini. So try this place out. Great food and great drinks.More

Came here for an early dinner after a matinee. We decided to do the Dim Sum menu. For one in our party it was a first. He thoroughly enjoyed it! Also, it is good to note that they serve Dim Sum all the time and...not just special hours. The Dim Sum menus have pictures but the print is small and can be hard to read for us old folks. You fill out your menu by writing the number of orders you want next to the picture. We used three menus for five of us. They lost one of the menus and therefore one of our orders. We did share everything anyway. We ended up ordering some additional of our favorites and tried and couple more new ones. Of course some were better than others but we had a great experience. The dumplings were great, especially the shrimp ones. I think my favorite dish was the pan fried green chive cake. The servers English is hit or miss. We found it difficult to communicate at times.More

We waited for 20 minutes; was really crowded on Christmas Eve evening, after we enjoyed atmosphere, service and food quality; we realized that it deserved the 20 minutes waiting All in all; they have an excellent food.

Weekend getaway to Chicago for some Christmas shopping and restaurant hopping. We shared the following dishes: -Shrimp spring rolls -Cucumber salad -Clams with black bean sauce -Spicy Lobster Everything arrived quickly, even though the place was very busy with a line at the door. The...spring rolls had that wonderful, delicate, crispy spring roll wrapper shell, were not greasy (as is often the case) and filled with tender and flavorful shrimp mixture. The Clams were good sized, plump, tender and juicy and the fermented black bean sauce was perfectly salty and pungent. The Spicy Lobster was mind-blowingly delicious. Just the right amount of heat to ignite your chile passion but not so hot as to obscure the flavor of the lobster. It was a good sized lobster, too which was appreciated. The Cucumber Salad was the perfect cooling, refreshing counterpoint to the spiciness of the lobster. We had other good meals in Chicago that weekend, but this is the one we still talk about. Very friendly and attentive service, and the best part was how good a value it was. I think the total bill came to around $80 ( for 4 courses and a couple Asahi beers!) Very, very highly recommended.More

I stopped in here for dim sum while in Chicago for a conference. The service was fast and reasonably priced. The pork and shrimp dumplings were probably my favorite. The BBQ pork sticky buns were very good but a tad sweet. The short ribs were...very enjoyable and I would order them again—although they were greasier and less tender than I am used to.More

We usually go to Chinatown, but this place is near Grant Park and the bean. A bit hidden though. You can call ahead to put your name in. No traditional dim sum carts, but has the normal offerings and a decent menu. Service was good...and attentive. They have i-pad type menu with some photos. Food was very good. We would go back.More

I love Chinese food, especially Dim Sum. Few places do offer Dim Sum for dinner or late night. Ming Hin does. You have a variety of Dim Sum and a la carte to choose. Nothing to complain. The food is so good I have to...return in 2 days.More

My two sisters and I happened to find ourselves by chance here because it was a sudden July downpour and we were in the area. I have to say we were quite lucky, because otherwise we never would have found it or tried it! We...were served very quickly, the restaurant itself (at least in July) was a separate building of its own a little off of Randolph Street and so very lovely both inside and for the view it had. I loved the artwork and the variety of seating arrangements. Even though the restaurant was quite full, the waiter we had was absolutely delightful and the food (especially the egg yolk bun) came very quickly and was really good. I've never had a dessert like that in my life, and crave it now! I'd love to eat there again, as it was one of the better restaurant experiences I've had in many years!More
