Had a very pleasant dinner while here on a business trip. The staff and manager provided excellent service and just the right amount of attentiveness. The gnocchi was delicious and I wish I had enough room to finish the tiramisu for dessert. The house made...limoncello was a nice accompaniment.More

We eat out constantly in the West Loop, and Bar Sienna is one of my favorites. It has a great ambiance and delicious Italian food. Everything I’ve had is good and the menu changes slightly for the seasons while preserving the classics. Highly recommend.

Had a fun night with co-workers at Bar Siena. The cocktails were made very authentic. The grilled octopus appetizer was wonderful and I had the short rib lasagna and it was well worth the money.

We had a group of 6 and shared our initial orders and then each had our own entrees. This worked beautifully. Start with a pizza to share: thin very crispy crust, great starter. It is very noisy with conversation and loud music.

Wonderful find! I hate to say it, but this was easily the best food on this trip. Bar Siena really does a great brunch! Emily took great care of us, she didn't judge, merely scored us on our decision making... Croque Madamé, Short Rib Hash,...and breakfast Calzone. The house made breakfast sausage was flavorful and, well, to die for. I'd love to try it for lunch or dinner.More

Bar Siena is one of those bars that’s a hotspot on the hottest block in town. It’s crowded and has a lively vibe if you’re into that. It’s definitely not a place to go if you’re looking for some quiet time, however for a bar...with people watching and mingling, it has a great social scene. The bartenders are fairly quick which is a plus it has a nice dark atmosphere. If you’re hanging out on Randolph this is probably one of the best spots to stop and get a drink.More

Was in town for a visit and my cousin suggested this place. While the food was very good, not great, the noise in this place is unbelievable!! A two story restaurant with no sound deadening insulation is not only odd, but unforgivable for a world...class chef's restaurant. We had five people in a booth and had to YELL to hear the person sitting right next to us. Maybe the young college hipster crowd is used to this atmosphere, or lack thereof, but this just makes the rest of us not enjoy our meal. We liked the food but the sound will be a reason we won't return. Also, they have their take on classic cocktails. I ordered their take on an old fashioned,.. it was one of the worst drinks i've had. An old fashioned is a classic for a reason, it doesn't need to be fixed. Their version definitely needs to be fixed. Finally, our server only paid attention to part of our party, the young women. Very unprofessional. The fact that he didn't even try to hide his disdain and annoyance with the other people in the party was disgusting. This man would look away when others were ordering, ask several times what they ordered, because he was obviously not listening to them, or would give a quick short answer when asked a question, but give a verbose answer to the young woman when asked the same thing. Second reason to not go back, service.More

I asked the reception at our hotel where to go for good italian food and they told me about Bar Siena and thank god they did. My wife had the Pizza Carne and it was soooo good. I had the Short Rib Lasagna. The waitress...came and asked if everything was in order and I told her that the Pizza was perfect but the lasagna was missing all flavor. It was not bad but just missing all flavor. She told me that the general manager would come and have a word with us. I told him the same but also told him that I was not complaining but he told me to pick another meal from the menu, he wanted us to be happy with the food. I could not chose so I asked him to pick something and after 5 minutes he brought the Gnocchi with proscuitto and oh my god, it was so wonderful. We then asked for the check and noticed that they did not charge us for the Lasagna or the Gnocchi. They blew us away with the service and ofcourse the food. Also the place is really nice and trendy. Would love to go there again. Best regards from Iceland. Nokkvi SMore
