The food was amazing, simply prepared with fresh exciting flavors and cooked to perfection. The salads were incredible - every ingredient was perfectly selected to compliment the other flavors in the bowl. The desserts were the best I've had in years - chocolate pudding with Marshmallow ice cream and a layered pumpkin cheesecake spice cake with cranberry sorbet was refreshing... More

This restaurant as recommended by the Conciege at our hotel as being on the way, walking to the station to sadly return to the airport. As we had a plane to catch later in the afternoon we were disappointed that there was a 45 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday lunchtime. However, when I explained the situation... More

I came to the Gage with my husband on our date night in Chicago, and i only have great things to say about this place.  The food: delectable. The cheese platter is to die for, and the venison burger was excellent.  The ambience: Great place for conversation, mood was romantic.  The service: loved our waiter Mike! He was courteous with... A great bar, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food. The menu goes from a wonderful burger for $15 to a steak for $60. The service was delightful.

Excellent place to start our trip in Chicago. I had the Venison burger which was amazing. We started with the homemade sausages and fried pickles.

Gage was recommended by the hotel so I walked and ate at one of the tables in the bar. This was Monday night and it was packed at 7:30 but I was able to snag a table pretty quick. The service staff was good and they turned the table quickly. The menu is pretty diverse and I decided on the... More

Great restaurant in the heart of Chicago. A foodie's heaven. We started with cocktails that were perfectly proportioned. For appetizers we had steak tartare, shishito peppers and the cheese plate. Moving on to dinner all the entrees were delish: bone in filet, roasted elk and the fish of the day. Sides we shared roasted corn and fire grilled green beans... More

I had searched T.A while at a meeting for a local fun place to dine. I chose the gage because of its proximity to my hotel. I made open table reservations for 615. I was dining alone. Walking in gave a warm comfortable vibe from light and dark hardwoods. A long classic bar anchors the right side of the restaurant.... More

We stopped here for lunch and were served quickly - the food was really very good (if not excellent) and the service was superb. A little noisy but it was peak lunch time.

Thank Robert B
