Although usually crowded, any wait is worth it at The Gage. Certainly not our first visit, it was again well worth the stop. Great cocktails and a well thought out wine list. Knowledgable and personable servers add to a memorable experience. The elk, pork chop and lamb chops were done perfectly. The appetizers, roasted brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes excellent... What a cool chic spot. Great outside area and good bar. I had the fish and chips - I was told they are known for that due to the owner being Irish. Overall, very good. I would definitely had this to the list to eat. Also, right across from Millennium Park.

The Gage is located with a nice vue of S Michigan Ave and the Millenium Park. We got there at 8pm and the place was all crowded. We got told that we'd have to wait one hour for a table but we ended up at a table in the bar section after just five minutes. The staff was very nice... More

The food here is delicious. I had the pork chop and it was perfectly done and super flavorful. My friends had the fish and chips and they really liked it too. If you stay away from the "butcher block" part of the menu, the prices are ok for Michigan Avenue (average meal ~$25). Would definitely recommend for a nice meal... More

We were walking and looking out for a place to eat when we chanced upon this restaurant. Though the menu is not extensive, there is a good choice to satiate everyone's taste. The soup of the day was corn and tomatino on a bed of crab salad. The soup was flavourful but wish there was some more of the crab... More

The Gage is always amazing. The last time I was there, the server was outstanding. He talked with us and offered just the best drinks (split) with each course... and the food - so great! I'll continue to come back....

Friends got together for dinner. We all had different options: the lobster roll, the Amish chicken, and the daily fish special. All our meals were very good and we'd order them again. The atmosphere was a little loud since it is a bar as well as restaurant. The price was not outrageous as many others in the downtown Chicago area.

Small romantic restaurant and bar. Beautiful fresh drinks- try the G.T.O. 👍🏼👍🏼 A traditional dirty martini was smooth and well prepared as well. Started with the scotch egg which included mustards and mesclun salad. Then we ordered a lobster roll and fish & chips. The lobster meat was juicy and wonderful. The roll was ok, but the meat certainly outshines... More

This is a great place on Michigan which offers a nice respite from the chain restaurants and other options. The menu is varied and offers great burger options - I would recommend going that route if you are into craft/gourmet burgers at nicer restaurants. They have great salad options and the sides - brussel sprouts and potatoes are very good.... More

Great food and the friendliest and most helpful waitress ever. The turkey club is huge and the suggestions for beer selection was spot on.
