Good food and plenty of it. Nice efficient staff. Comfortable place inside and out. Sounds like a winner and a good price too. Excellent conned beef hash and my wife had a scramble. They even have gluten free bread and pancakes. Go there it's good.

The food was okay at best. I've been to some divey diners like this where the food was way better, so it was just kind of meh. I got the eggs florentine which didn't have much flavor, my partner got the poor man's skillet which...More

This restaurant offers an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items. We ordered omelets and sandwiches to share. While the portions were more than generous, the food itself seemed to lack the proper seasonings, particularly salt. This left the eggs, potatoes, and even the butter...More

Love this place and any time I am in Chicago I plan to come back just for the waffles and normally I don't even eat Waffles!

The food & service could've been better. My empty water glass was never refilled & we had to ask for the ticket even though our stacked plates had been at the edge of the table for a while. I specifically asked if the hash-browns were...More

This family-owned restaurant is open 24/7, which was a lifesaver for us. My husband and I arrived in Chicago hungry and around 11 p.m. when most places are closed. The concierge at our hotel recommended Tempo Cafe, which was right around the corner. When we...More

This gem of a cafe is very welcoming and serves great food. I had fantastic poached eggs and Virginia ham. My wife a great plate of pancakes and fruit. Visit here if you can. Look at those pancakes.

My wife and I had breakfast here one morning and it was delicious! I had a poor man's skillet and it was HUGE. It was more than I could eat and I wasn't hungry again until supper time. This place was a very pleasant surprise!

If you want a breakfast that you don't have to eat for the rest of the day this is it. Huge servings, especially from the large selection of omelets. Coffee is great as is fresh orange and Greek toast.

I don't think you would. It is busy but there wasn't a queue. There is seating inside and out. Enjoy!
