No wait to be seated but pizza takes about 45 minutes. BUT it is worth every single minute! The crust - oh my! Simply amazing deep dish!

So yummy. Went for a bachelorette party. Gino’s came highly recommended. Great atmosphere. Make sure to try the extra deep. You won’t be disappointed.

The atmosphere is cool. The food was good but it’s going to take an hour to get a Chicago deep dish pizza. After waiting an hour I was disappointed because the crust was still not cook through. Raw...so I scooped out the toppings which were...More

This is one of those local icons that have an overblown image. As usual the Pizza is not bad, the atmosphere is nice if a little noisy. Pretty hard to have a conversation across even a small table. All of this I could overlook if...More

Wonderful Pie and a nice atmosphere. I was there with the family and there were high chairs readily available for the children.

Another excellent Chicago restaurant that can have long waits. Suggest trying off peak times such as a late lunch. Walked right in and since I was a party of one, immediate service at the bar. Enjoyed a semi healthy spicy kale Caesar salad with grilled...More

Quick trip to see the city and have some authentic Chicago style pizza. Gino’s was recommended to us by family and friends. We were not disappointed. We visited on a Sunday, found street parking a couple of blocks away and got there just before it...More

This place is great. The food was excellent, I had the deep dish small vegetable pizza and it was wonderful. the wings are also really good. The wait was more than 45 minutes so be prepared for the lengthy turnaround.

I would Google Gino's East and zoom in on the map to see whether the map lists any parking ramps; you could also type in Gino's address and search "Parking near (insert Gino's address.") We use bus, train and walking when we... More

Description
For 50 years, the original Gino’s East has been offering the best deep dish pizza experience in Chicago. Since we opened our doors in 1966, we’ve shared millions of our signature golden-crust Chicago-style pizzas with Chicagoans, celebrities, and visitors from all over the world. Don’t believe us? The writing is on the walls! We’re world-famous for our tradition of letting all of our customers leave their mark on our restaurant. Come by and leave some graffiti, if you can find a spot, and see if you can find it next year! Gino’s Chicago-style deep dish is made the same way it was 50 years ago. We start with our signature, secret-recipe dough and top it with mounds of mozzarella cheese, fresh toppings, and our tangy tomato sauce. Our pies are slowly baked in seasoned cast iron pans until the crust is golden and flaky, then we serve it table-side, piping hot, right out of the pan. Our deep dish pizzas are loaded with so many toppings that we have cook them for nearly an hour. That’s also the reason we have to put the sauce on top; if we didn’t, the cheese would burn! But trust us, it’s worth the wait. We promise. Ask the people that agree that we are the best deep dish pizza in Chicago. Not sure what to order? Try one of our signature pizzas! The Meaty Legend is a carnivore’s dream, with pounds of pepperoni, special-recipe Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, and crispy bacon. The Chicago Fire is perfect for spice-lovers, with a layer of extra spicy Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, red onions, and jalapeno. Not a meat eater? Try our signature spinach pizza with a blend of fresh spinach and mozzarella cheese. And for the purist, we offer our patty sausage pizza, with a thick layer of our signature sausage covering the entire pie so you get tasty sausage in every bite!
