Little neighborhood gem that is our comfortable go to place with friends, BYOB so we always bring our favorite beverage and wine which really makes this an even greater value. Friends always enjoy Gio's and end up coming back on their own.

I am a former Bridgeport resident. The owner, Ignazio is like my family. The food is out of this world. Most noteworthy is that when guests come in they are welcomed warmly by Ignazio in a home like café. Once guests sit down it is very difficult to leave.

Gio's is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. My favorite meals are the chicken Marsala, rigatoni vodka and sausage and peppers but you can't go wrong with anything that is served here.

Sometimes it is nice to eat simple unpretentious food. When you want homestyle Italian dishes, drop into Gio's in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood. Ask for Joanne to be your server, then eat whatever she tells you to.

Gio's is located in the middle of a typical Chicago neighborhood. An old fashioned cafe, deli, grocery store with seating for about 30-40 people in the middle of the store. It's a BYOB which makes it affordable. They have a courteous staff and the owners are always on site to make sure your experience is delightful.

Outstanding food every time. The Arancini is a must for an appetizer. Reminded me that tourists miss this authentic Italian surprise.

We know Italian food and this was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend for a great meal! We had chicken Parmesean and it was to die for as well as the cheese raviloi. Kiddo had spaghetti and meatballs and we all tried the meatballs and they were great! This seems like one of those places that no matter what you order it's gonna... More
