If you’re craving sushi and don’t want to spend a lot, this is an awesome option. Rolls are big so make sure you go with someone else to share and try more options. Spicy tuna, godzilla, yellow tail... all delicious. Careful not to over order because they will charge you for left overs (which is fair).

Average food quality, too cold inside, there was a Sushi Tokoro Wi-Fi network but no password for customers.

All-you-can-eat sushi was ordered in this visit. All appetizers ordered were tasty and served hot. The sushi was served on a boat that was like an aircraft carrier. It was beautiful and looked impressive. But, WAY too much rice was used to make each roll. In fact, some rolls, already thick with rice, were doubled up with rice on the bottom. Also, the roll pieces were too big for the average mouth and many fell apart in the soy sauce.

I went there for lunch break and thought about getting the all you can eat lunch special. Glad I didn't. The 3 roll lunch special was more than enough. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Definitely my place to eat sushi.

My fam and I are fans of Sushi so, we've tried MANY restaurants in the Chicago area. Most recently we dined at Sushi Tokoro which is located just north of the El on Western Ave. Overall, the restaurant staff was prompt, friendly and responded very quickly to our requests. There are 2 choices for dining: ordering off the menu or $22 for all you can eat. We choose the $22. It was the day after Christmas, December 26th and we were surprised to find the restaurant at almost 95% capacity with several additional hungry diners picking up carry out. We ordered 8 rolls for 2 people which voila, it came displayed on "the Boat". I know it's cheezy but, I love it when Sushi arrives on a bamboo boat. This one filled up the empty space with a plastic fish decor, cute ;). The rolls were filling but, had a little too much rice, making them hard to eat in one bite. Even though we had 8 different kinds of rolls, they all tasted very similar. We think it's because on the flat fee. For the price and good service, we would go back but, the food quality is only so-so. A few notes: There is parking on the street, just make sure you pay at the green box, otherwise Chicago will ticket you. Public transportation is available, Brown Line and CTA. For weekends, I highly recommend making reservations and it's a BYOB restaurant.

Sushi Tokoro is a fairly new restaurant located on Western Ave near Lawrence in the Logan Square neighborhood. You can find paid street parking fairly easy later in the evening, but maybe not during the day because this area does get a lot of traffic. The Western (#49) and Lawrence (#81) buses do run very frequently. It is also very close to the Western Brown line station. We came on a weekday to have the all-you-can-eat sushi. The restaurant is clean and modern with a touch of pop from the band of light that runs horizontally across the middle of the wall that changes color. They have plenty of tables in addition to the prime seating where diners can watch the sushi chefs perform their magic. You can choose to order from the regular menu a la carte or from the special ayce menu. The sushi is better than average. Very fresh. Not padded with a lot of rice. Most of the hot items were good, but the fried items were a little cold like they have been sitting out for a while. This also reflected on the sushi rolls that contained fried shrimp or soft-shelled crab. Otherwise, most of the nigiri and maki were very tasty. If you order enough sushi, they will present it on a boat or bridge beautifully decorated. Be sure to finish what you order because they can charge you for what you don't finish. Service was very good. Servers were very polite and attentive. And the restaurant is BYOB.

The all you can eat sushi for $16.99 lunch is a good bargain even if it is from a special menu and not the main menu which means things like the tataki and many rolls are not included. The fish is fresh, however, it is lacking any real spark. On the individual sushi pieces although not overloaded with rice like you find some places do not contain that dot of wasabi under the fish for the spark you expect. Even the spider roll had only one tiny drop of eel sauce so lacked the special flavor. All in all good sushi but lacks the special taste I was looking for. The restaurant is new and beautiful inside with lots of seating room and our service was spot on, no complaints there.
