Our family was on vacation in Chicago. We had two breakfasts in three days at Meli Cafe. We couldn't order one of everything the first time, so went back to enjoy other tasty and healthy options. Great choices for health nuts and foodies. Would go back in a flash.

The Meli Cafe came up as a recommendation on Google Maps. Glad we took it's advice. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose to eat outside. The choices were abundant. I tried the crepes. They were wonderful. Everyone in the group tried something different, and they all raved about their selections. The portions were large. The service was... More

This place is the bomb! We make it a point to eat breakfast here whenever we visit Chi Town. The menu is eclectic and everything is home made and fresh. We had the Avacado Toast and it was to die for. 2 pieces of home made bread, guacamole/avocado spread, 2 poached eggs plopped on top w/ a chipotle aioli, corn... More

You will not be able to decide what to get, but whatever it is you can share it. Huge portions. It literally was the best French Toast I've ever eaten. Went back the next day for eggs - also huge and delicious. My only complaint is they didn't have regular tea (meaning Lipton kind\English Breakfast etc) Kind of strange, but... More

Had a shoulder of lamb that was excellent, tender, and very tasty. Lots of fresh vegetables on the side with excellent service.

I go to Lou Mitchells for traditional breakfast but you go to Meli Café for inspired food in Greek Town.

There were three of us downtown for a track meet and we decided to have a quick breakfast before the meet started and we decided to try Meli Café because it was on our way from our parking spot to the track meet. Wow !! What a pleasant surprise from the very tasty and plentiful potatoes to perfectly made poached... More

I went here for breakfast with a friend and we both really enjoyed our food. They apparently have their own special jams that they make and I regret not grabbing a jar to bring home. Our waitress was nice but the only thing that was a little weird was a man who looked like the owner standing over the dining... More

A little cafe tucked into a busy intersection of Chicago. Enjoyed the orange/strawberry juice blend with a touch of honey...refreshing. The caprese avocado wrap was quite filling and the cole slaw delicious! Glad this cafe is within walking distance of my office. They have an extensive menu, including breakfast and this is definitely on my list to return.
