Very cute breakfast place to go with friends. Delicious açaí bowl and good coffee. Fun Sunday morning with friends.

I was very excited to get an excellent coffee at the place, after tasting excellent coffee in other place. There was no single origin coffee proposed for espresso. Impossible to know what was the provenance if the blend. Coffee was OK, but nothing exceptional. Chai...tea was great as not too sugary. I don’t think they should call a crepe what was served (the dough was not a real dough, it was too thick and too greasy)More

I may be somewhat biased because Bru is next door to a bookstore I quite like (Myopic Books) but I'd like to think I'd still appreciate Bru. The world needs more coffee shops with squishy sofas, decent coffee and tea selection and no pressure to...drink up and get out. Over the years, my husband and I have had various teas and coffees; the latter are tasty without being burnt or over-flavored, and the former are soothing to my often over-heated stomach. I've only tried the banana-nutella crepe, but that was quite enough. Indeed, that overmatched my husband and myself; we've never been able to finish the thing. Standard disclaimer: I reviewed this already under a previous incarnation, JJHenkMore

Pretty spacious coffee shop. Wide variety of sitting areas from couches to work stations. Lots of charging ports and large desks too. Found the food and drinks to be mediocre. Definitely better options for coffee or tea. But if your goal is to get work...done, this a good environment.More

The coffee's good, the tea's better, and the crepes are to come running for. They serve breakfast well into the afternoon (I love breakfast!) and an interesting though not overly expansive collection of sandwiches, wraps and salads---but then the size of the menu doesn't reflect...the quality of the food. Oh, and comfy chairs, lots of light, and steamily warm--an advantage in winter in Chicago.More

Great vibe and food and coffee. (I had a savory crepe which was excellent). My corporate team used their private space for an informal offsite meeting. It's in their basement - and kind of feels like "That 70s Show" - but we were all in...comfy chairs and couches, wifi worked well. No projectors etc - so best for an informal meeting - but was cozier than being in a hotel ballroom in the Loop.More

Comfy couches and good coffee. Unpretentious and comfortable. Crepes are delicious. Would recommend if you want to get out of the office for the day and work in a coffee shop.
