We've gone to the Sunday brunch many times and love the food, service, and atmosphere of Whisk. Drooling while typing!

I had read such great reviews about this place, so I made it a priority to stop by while in Chicago for business. I paid for a $10 Uber drive to find the restaurant locked up and closed at 10am on a Monday. The note...on the door said that they were working on getting their inspection renewed by the state. So, you might want to call before visiting to see if they are open.More

Had a great brunch here. Not very large and BYOB. I definitely recommend trying a dish that is different but brunch staples are avail es. Not to mention the great decorations

We thought that we would try Whisk and when we saw that there was no line and easy parking, we decided to give it a try. It seems to be one of those eclectic restaurants but the staff was friendly and efficient. There are some...very different things on the menu. One of our selections was the French toast. Honestly, it was one of the tastiest and richest that I have had.More

Not happy with Whisk. Won’t be going there again. After paying to park, we were refused service at 2:25 even though the restaurant closes at 3:30 on Friday. The employee said that they had reached their max and wouldn’t allow us to enter. Went to...the Sunrise next door and they were happy to have us. Cliff RusnakMore

Great food, breakfast and lunch items. Biscuits and gravy was a huge portion and terrific southern taste. The old time burger was really good! We sat on the patio which was nice like a college bar patio. The interior was the same. Drinks in mason...jars was odd. The root beer was good but the sweet tea wasn’t clean tea...cloudy appearance.More

Son of a Butcher by the WHISK Restaurant Group has two locations in Chicago, at 2018 West Chicago Avenue in the West Town/Ukrainian Village neighborhood and at 2934 West Diversey Avenue in the Logan Square/Avondale neighborhood. Both offer beer and burgers and BBQ in a...tavern setting with TVs. In the last few years, they have won awards for their barbecue ribs, wings and burgers. The big draw is barbecue, which is becoming very popular in Chicago. WHISK favors the St. Louis version. I'm not an expert on barbecue, St. Louis or Memphis or Kansas City or Austin or the Carolinas. All that matters to me is if it tastes good. And WHISK's barbecue is the stuff that puts a smile on your face and lots of sauce on your fingers. My wife and I visited the location in Logan Square. We started with bacon BBQ shrimp, smoked wings with spicy honey BBQ sauce and a grilled Caesar salad with Romaine lettuce, shredded parmesan, prosciutto, croutons and chicken. If my horse had started so well, he would have won the Kentucky Derby. For an entree, I couldn't resist the house special, a rack of St. Louis slow-roasted and dry rubbed pork ribs with BBQ sauce, corn bread and cole slaw. My wife chose buttermilk fried chicken with cole slaw. For dessert, we shared a big plate of Oreo cookie bread pudding. Chicagoans are becoming more addicted to barbecue. WHISK's barbecue is a good reason why.More
