We enjoyed our food, mine was the seared tuna greens and grain which was very good. Their outdoor seating area was comfortable and pleasant. The staff were excellent.

We had lunch here today. It was very quick serving. Currently self Self serving system. We had the tacos which was okay, not the best. But the curry fish cakes were delicious! If I go again this will be my default order!

Excellent food. Salmon was great. Crab cakes were good. We had salad each and drank ice tea and ginerade.

We are always trying to expand our lunch delivery options during Covid and we thought we'd add seafood to our chicken/burgers/sandwich/kebab options. Maybe it was the influence of the current Sea Shanty craze (did they ever go out of style?) We ordered online. Didn't set...foot in the restaurant so no comments on the service or ambiance . Appropriately the food was delivered in a Brown Bag. We had the oven warmed to 400 degrees (not forgetting to turn it off) to help the fries, tater tots and fish recover from their car trip. We had fish and chips ($14) and a lobster roll with tater tots ($ 24) Plates were cleaned rapidly as the food was darned good. Good enough for us to put Brown Bag on our rotation. Crunchy fries, crispy batter and silky smooth flakes of cod (or maybe pollock?). Generous chunks of fresh Maine lobster in a tasty roll served with a side of crunchy coleslaw, leafy salad, lemon, tartar sauce and some crispy more-ish tater tots with shavings of Truffle- Parmesan cheese. Eat these as you would popcorn! Verdict was " a wise and flavorful choice for lunch". Bless me Barnacles!More

Brown Bag Seafood on Randolph is my current favorite place to eat in Chicago. I don't get to Chicago often, but I eat there when I do! I've found their fish to be impeccably fresh and always well prepared. The atmosphere is lovely, to my...sensibilities. It's a no-nonsense seafood shack, offering a menu that may seem limited, but which actually provides excellent fish in a range of dishes. It's definitely casual, maybe not "date night" material, but it feels authentic, welcoming, efficient, and comfortable to me! I've always found the place to be clean and inviting, with EXCELLENT staff, great fish, casual and comfortable surroundings, and wonderful views of the park...all in easy walking distance of the Loop. Plus, I find it affordable, even by my Wisconsin standards. My current favorite is the bowl with grains and veggies. The grains are well flavored and nicely chewy; the veggies are fresh and well prepared...and a great complement to the always delicious fish. I enjoy eating this. It's tasty, but also feels very nourishing and satisfying. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean, but, for me, there's a HUGE difference between grabbing some fast food when I just need some calories fast, or eating food that is delicious but not particularly healthy...and eating a meal that is delicious, nutritious, and totally satisfying on all fronts. What more could one ask for? It's my go-to when I'm in Chicago.More

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at the Fairmont. We had the Truffle Paremesan tots, the Buffalo Bleu tots and the Louisiana Tang Slaw. Everything was tasty and flavorful, but the tots were not hot. We were pretty hungry, so we didn’t gripe, but...had to dock them a star.More

Food was just OK, service is non-existent. Prices are high for the food, portion size, etc. Had read so much about this restaurant, and was so excited to try it. We were the only customers in the restaurant. The 80’s music was so loud we...could not hold a conversation. I had a wedge salad, and it was just ok.More

This was a trip advisor find that impressed. Cool ordering system, quick prep where you can see them cook it. Very cool presentation and healthy! I had delicious halibut and grilled shrimp with veggies and grains. Relaxed and had an incredible meal! Highly recommend.

On business in the city. Found this yummy spot. Indulged in the lobster roll and tots the first day. Oh goodness, wish I could bring a dozen of these home with me. Second day returned for lunch. I wish we had a brown bag in Wisconsin! Awesome selections and extremely healthy.. quick and easy dinner bowls and nice selection of drinks. Had the salmon. Not fishy at all. Loved how I could pick what I wanted to serve it with. I picked...the veggies. Also had the ginger lemonade.More

Brown Bag seems to have found its sweet spot. I was not a fan initially. Now the menu seems like they have both expanded enough to offer interesting choices, and simplified enough to keep the quality consistent. Reasonably priced. Sort of a cross between restaurant...and cafeteria style the way you order inside, choose your food, get an identifying number, then settle in somewhere that they can bring it to you. The choices of sauces to accompany the well-prepared fish are a nice addition.More

We had dinner at the Millenium Park location. I loved my whitefish with Powerbox, and my spouse had the grilled shrimp plate. I think we might have even licked our plates clean, it was so good. We will be going back!
