Stumbled on this great place on a cold, rainy day - perfect day for soup! I had the chowder which was a lot like chili - delicious!

Quaint little restaurant offers take out or sit down quick service. I ordered grilled cheese with bacon and chicken wild rice soup. They let you sample as many as you like. Very friendly, I did takeout because I was in a hurry to get back to my hotel. $13.00, reasonable and tasty. I was served in under 5 min!! Nice... More

I rarely give 5 stars but the soup here is really that good. I had the lobster bisque and my husband had the lobster bisque mixed with the clam chowder. I love that you get a free topping, which I just got the lobster meat and it made my bisque even better. The bread roll that comes with it was... More

Got the Broccoli and White Cheddar with sourdough bread. Very good, very hot, fast service, liked the extra toppings that were available. great overall experience, but $8 for a small bowl of soup seems a little pricey.

We went here our last day in Chicago. This was an excellent option! I had a broccoli and cheese soup and it was so tasty! The medium size was enough. There are about 14 different soups and you can have them in different sizes and in a dish or a bread. The service of the guy that was attending was... More

Incredibly pleasant small soup shop that offers 12 soups and free samples of each soup (and even combinations of soups). What I really enjoyed was how the samples were actually encouraged and I didn't feel weird trying 4 different soups, and also the excellent quality of all the soups I tried. Overall, if you're looking for a tasty meal at... More

On any given day, there is nothing comparable to having a bowl of hot home-made soup with a fresh salad or sandwich. If you've had soup out of a can and a bowl of soup from The SoupBox in Chicago, you know there is a big difference. The SoupBox has two locations, 50 East Chicago near Water Tower Place and... More

We wanted a light lunch during our day shopping the Magnificent Mile and hunted down the SoupBox because we wanted something local, not a big franchise. It's small and easy to miss, but worth the effort. Lots of soups to choose from. The staff is fantastic - friendly and helpful.

Very good lunch. They will let you sample any soup that you would like. You can also mix the soups together. I got the lobster bisque and the clam chowder it was awesome. The grilled cheese were awesome as well.
