I have been eating Troha's shrimp for over 50 years. My dad used to stop and get them on the way home every Friday night when I was a child. I do not get to Chicago that much anymore, but it is a mandatory stop when I am in town. Love the shrimp, love the cole slaw, love the fries.... More

We tried the shrimp and cod. This was a quick stop as part of a food tour. The breading and frying method are superior...light flavorful breading and no heavy oily taste. Really delicious. Also tried their coleslaw which was different than I am accustomed to but a great side with the cod and the shrimp. It's mostly a carry out... More

When I heard about Troha's Chicken and Shrimp House at 4151 West 26th Street in Little Village, my first reaction was it is too far away from my home in downtown Chicago. It's a no-frills, mostly carry out business, not the kind of place for a family outing or a birthday celebration. But when I learned the Troha's has been... More

The combination plate might be the best thing to sample their variety. Check GroupOn for coupons before going there.

I will profess that I am from Louisiana, and I believe we have some of the best seafood in the world at home. So it probably clouded my judgment slightly in regards to the quality of seafood in Chicago. With that being said I thought Troha's Chicken and Shrimp was well done. It's a no frills location with no frills... More

I always order the fish chips and the shrimp. They are delicious, juicy and the fish is melt in ur mouth flaky!! Don't miss out! They also actively participate in groupon and u can download their app and like them on Facebook for coupons and deals! My shrimp and fish were fried to a perfect golden color, in no way... More

The shrimp was the best fried shrimp I've ever had, my son had the whole chicken wings and he said they were awesome. I will definitely make a stop the next time I'm in Chicago!

Very affordable fried fish dishes with most people ordering food for carry out at this Little Village locale. Their breaded shrimp is very tasty. The cole slaw is one of my favorite side dishes along with the great French fries. On Fridays during lent, this place is always jammed.
