We ordered the Easter Feast for Easter Dinner and everyone loved it. Of course, I had to add some Polish Sausage and Pierogies to authenticate it as a Polish Easter, your ham and sides were delicious! Two of our Granddaughters were playing in a volleyball...tournament at McCormick place, so we couldn't plan a time until we knew they were done. Heating instructions were great and we had a wonderful time, with no stress. Something different...Something wonderful as always. Marybeth SzczesniakMore

About 13 of us ladies dined at The Polo Inn recently for our Christmas Brunch. Dave and his staff seated us privately in the ball room that was beautifully decorated. We followed protocols due to Covid19 and we were all vaccinated. Coffee/Tea was all set...on a table and also Christmas punch. We were served a tasty green salad with warm dinner rolls, next plated Ravioli with grilled chicken topped with a delicious creamy sauce and for dessert an awesome creme brulee. Champagne was served after dinner. Dave and his staff were amazing. We have decided that Polo Inn is our go to restaurant for Christmas Bunch. Thank you Dave and the Polo Inn staff.More

Was fortunate to have been invited to a baby shower in the adjacent events place. The food was out of this world amazing and the service was spectacular. At the end we were serenaded with an organ playing chef! Loved this place!

The Inn is tremendous! We stayed three nights—the room and the hospitality was exemplary. I was hesitant to write a review of the Inn because I wanted to keep it “our little Chicago secret” but The Polo Inn is a must to really experience Chicago....The 1914 building is so comfortable and accommodating! I’m not usually a big bed and breakfast person, but the whole experience was so authentic and genuine that if there is a room available when we come to Chicago we will be in it. From the practical to the esoteric, The Polo Inn made our stay perfect. With so much to see and do in Chicago, making the Polo Inn our “base camp” was the best idea ever.More

We are from Chicago, and we needed a place to stay near the Bridgeport Arts Center. We were walking distance which was amazing. Dave and Keven were quite lovely and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast and learning the history of Bridgeport. Would definitely recommend!

From the minute we arrived in Chicago to attend a family wedding, Dave and his staff made us feel like family! Every detail was attended to. The B&B was immaculate, breakfast was beyond belief. He invited us to attend the "Gospel Brunch" and we were...dumbfounded when he sang with a beautiful baritone voice. It was hardly what I think of as a brunch, it more like a large dinner. We feel to have been blessed to have him become part of our family that weekend.More

We were staying at the Inn and we had the pleasure of enjoying the Gospel Brunch. Dave our host also sings with an organist. They are very good. The vibe was really neat, with a mix of locals. That were also singing to the songs...as well as visitors. The Pork Belly Hash was to die for and our waiter Martin was excellent!. We also witnessed the event when someone orders eggs Benedict. Really entertaining. Attending the Gospel Brunch was a neighborhood event.More

I loved this place! Our daughter had moved to the Bridgeport area and we went to visit her last week for a couple of days. We stayed at the Polo Inn. I found myself imaging what it would have been like to live there in...the early 1930s. On our first morning we had the best French Toast that I have ever eaten! On our second morning Dave told us the history of the Polo Inn...even mentioning the size of the nails and the steel that was used in the construction. It was so interesting hearing about the building. I look forward to staying there again. Just on a side note, for breakfast I ordered the 3 Piggies hash. Delicious!! Dave said it was seasoned with sweet Chili and Worcestershire sauce. The breakfasts were wonderful!More

A fabulous experience at a one-of-a-kind landmark in South Chicago! We were moving our daughter to her new apartment in a nearby area and happened on the Polo Inn B&B as one of the few places to stay in the neighborhood. We spent the night...in the palatial Mayor's Suite, which was like traveling back to an earlier, more hospitable time. Dave and Kevin were incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive hosts, and we could not have wished for a better experience. Will go back!More

On a Friday night recently my wife & I and good friends visited the Polo Inn Restaurant in the Bridgeport area of Chicago. We learned of it from Tripadvisor. It was eye candy from the moment we walked in. Fashioned in the theme of Chicago...1930's / 1940's.Everthing dripped of nostalgia of the area.Fron tin paneled ceiling to original woodwork. The waitstaff was most knowledgeable about the history of the building and the area it was located in. And took the time to educate us about the menu . Overall a great dining experience. Food was absolutely wonderful. As we finished dessert the owner / chef Dave Samber came over to talk to us about where we were from & just had a great conversation about the old days and the challenges of modern times. Overall it was a great night at a great location with wonder food. Everything you want in a dining experience.More

Chicago has many greats, but one often overlooked is its people. Tucked in the Bridgeport Neighborhood on the near South Side is the charming historic Polo Inn with Owner Dave and Innkeeper Kevin. Hospitality is their middle name, and Dave is especially full of great...stories on neighborhood and city history. With quick easy access to Downtown and a Hip Cool Neighborhood Vibe, the Polo Inn is a great way to experience "The Real Chicago" with Wonderful Gracious Locals as Your Host, They serve an excellent generous breakfast and dinner is not to be missed. After all, Chicago is a Foodie CIty. The Creme Brulee French Toast is out of this world. The Very Best of Chicago!More

Great old fashioned style Inn with fabulous owners that gave us the royal ultra friendly treatment. Breakfast included coffee, juice. french toast, eggs any style, potatoes, bacon one morning, ham the next and toast. That huge breakfast carried us through our entire day of exploring...the city right up to dinner time. Our suite was comfortable with a queen bed, two twins, refrigerator, kitchen table, TV, bathroom, assorted chairs and interesting framed photographs. Excellent stay for us!More
