We have enjoyed the gospel brunch at the Polo Inn several times, and just had a wonderful fixed price Valentine dinner in their banquet room, which felt warm and cozy with lots of votive candles and soft tablecloths. The food was just as delicious as for the gospel brunch, starting with a delicious and creative beet salad, choice of main course with vegetables, and a yummy creme brulee and chocolate covered strawberry for dessert. Every experience we have had at the Polo Inn has been well worth the drive from our home north of Chicago.

This year we could not attend the easter Buffet in the beutiful banquet room, but my wife and I took advantage of the Easter Polo to go! The food was excellent. From the appetizers, bacon wrapped dates, shrimp, to the homemade dips, salads, and the main courses. We ordered a variety of things from ham, to lamb, the ham had a slight smoky taste to it, the vegetables had a slight snap and great grilled flavor. Everything was super delicious. There was so much food we had a little for lunch and the rest in the evening. We drive a little bit to get there around 25 miles but its well worth the trip. If you have a chance stop by and enjoy the best food in the Chicago area. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions are large, you will not go home hungry or disapointed. The owner and head chef Dave is always there with a big smile and a handshake at your table to make sure evrything is good and your happy. He is a very gracious host, a great chef, and a great person. We will owe him a handshake until next time, when things are good again.

Simply amazing. We live less than 3 blocks away and have never been here. We sat inside the banquet hall and had a blast! First of all, the vibe I’m the banquet hall is so fun. Quiet and dark but with disco balls twirling and a multicolor spotlight on a beautiful piano on stage. The service was amazing! Our waiter was so attentive and very normal (that’s a compliment, normalcy is rare these days). We started with their famous cheesy garlic bread which on paper sounds like something every place has but you can tell that the fresh rustic bread and seasonings make it so so much more next level. We also had the bruschetta as a starter. Both me and my boyfriend said we could have just ate that as our entrees. So fresh, so satisfying. For entrees, the four of us had the Sally’s meatloaf (5/5), chicken wrap with kettle chips (5/5), ravioli with marinara, and ravioli with basil pesto mushroom cream sauce (5/5). For dessert I had the flourless chocolate cake, my boyfriend had the caramel gelato and the pistachio gelato.l, and our moms had the fruit crisps. I could go on and on in the most creative magazine I work with. The chef and owner came out and spoke with us for ~20 mins and made us feel like part of the family. What a gem of a place! We will be back!!!!

On Friday night 7/10/20 my wife Diane and I went to one of our favorite Bridgeport restaurants. Sitting in the Old Eagle room they have taken all of the CDC covid 19 safety measures. We started with the shrimp sampler with 3 varieties all very good with dipping sauces, that was followed by some of the best homemade chicken noodle you have ever had. I had my favorite the Angus Stockyard burger, it is the best burger in Chicago. Diane had the Turkey club, with fresh slices of tender turkey , garden tomatoes and fresh lettuce and perfectly toasted whole wheat toast . During these pandemic times Polo is a BYOB, no corking charge for wine and the will set you up with ice and mixes as needed. The owner Dave greets his customers with grace and charm, and is easy to talk to. Martin is our waitstaff person and is hands on with menu and specials, great person too. Looking for a great place to eat in Bridgeport stop in at Polo Inn, you will be back !!

We recently had an event at The Polo Inn to celebrate the 15th anniversary of our annual production of Too Hot to Handel. The evening was nothing short of extraordinary! The venue was beautifully decorated, the food was unmatched, and the overall atmosphere was electric. The Auditorium Theatre is so grateful for the amazing service we received from the entire staff during the entire night. It is a wonderful location for your next event or private party!

We've been eating at Polo for years, and have enjoyed both the restaurant and their larger catering venue next door. Come for a weekday dinner, Sunday brunch, or their Easter buffet--you won't be disappointed. The food is always great, and owner/chef Dave Samber will take good care of you.

From the very beginning, we felt extremely welcomed!! We were greeted by Martin, the very patient waiter, and had our choice of tables. On this particular day, it was as if we had rented the place just for ourselves. The music was perfect for our small group of retired teachers. Dave, the owner/chef, came out to chitchat and in that short amount of time we got to know him as a fantastic human being. It was very unusual that everyone in our group ordered the same meal, “meatloaf”. None of us were disappointed!!! I would have to say that on a scale of 1-10, this was a 10 in my book. I know we will definitely be back sometime soon!!!

Chicago has many greats, but one often overlooked is its people. Tucked in the Bridgeport Neighborhood on the near South Side is the charming historic Polo Inn with Owner Dave and Innkeeper Kevin. Hospitality is their middle name, and Dave is especially full of great stories on neighborhood and city history. With quick easy access to Downtown and a Hip Cool Neighborhood Vibe, the Polo Inn is a great way to experience "The Real Chicago" with Wonderful Gracious Locals as Your Host, They serve an excellent generous breakfast and dinner is not to be missed. After all, Chicago is a Foodie CIty. The Creme Brulee French Toast is out of this world. The Very Best of Chicago!

About 13 of us ladies dined at The Polo Inn recently for our Christmas Brunch. Dave and his staff seated us privately in the ball room that was beautifully decorated. We followed protocols due to Covid19 and we were all vaccinated. Coffee/Tea was all set on a table and also Christmas punch. We were served a tasty green salad with warm dinner rolls, next plated Ravioli with grilled chicken topped with a delicious creamy sauce and for dessert an awesome creme brulee. Champagne was served after dinner. Dave and his staff were amazing. We have decided that Polo Inn is our go to restaurant for Christmas Bunch. Thank you Dave and the Polo Inn staff.

My friend and I had a very tasty and enjoyable lunch at Polo. The service was excellent, the BBQ ribs were perfectly smoked and tender. The individual, small serving of creme brûlée was scrumptious and accompanied by a wonderful cup of freshly brewed coffee. We were also delighted with the owner, Dave Samber, who regaled us with a story re the filming of a movie at Polo

Ordered Thanksgiving dinner for the first time and the six of us were stunned how great everything was and are still having cravings for leftovers! The turkey, ham was just perfect and the sides we choose were AMAZING..the grilled green beans, the sage stuffing, and mashed potatoes.....Hands Down best Thanksgiving meal with no effort (because we let Polo cook it this year!). Thanks for making our meal memorable in this un-memorable year!

My sister held her bridal shower at The Polo Inn and it was FABULOUS! The owner and helpers did an amazing job setting up the venue to make it look beautiful. There were about 45 people in attendance and we all enjoyed it. The food was spectacular and I liked everything Dave made. The butternut squash ravioli and the braciole were specialty items Dave put together for us and they were a hit with the entire group. I can’t say enough good things about my experience at The Polo Inn thanks to the wonderful employees and delicious food.

The staff, the accommodations, and the food were all top-notch. I've paid three times as much for food that doesn’t come close to what we had here. The accommodations were excellent, very comfortable, and I slept like a rock all four days. The staff was incredibly helpful no matter what we needed and went above and beyond what they needed to do. I will be back for more pampering.

By far the best stay my family and I have had in Chicago. We stayed in the White Sox suite for one night and the room was beautiful, tons of memorabilia to look at, field of dreams inspired room, truly one of the coolest rooms we’ve stayed in. The owners are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met, and even drove us to the ball park before the game. Only one mile away from the ball park so it’s in a very convenient spot, and to finish our stay we were served breakfast, and it was by far the best breakfast I’ve had from ANY restaurant in my life. A+ stay, and we will be back for the food, the lovely hosts, and their beautiful dog Roman. A+ stay.

We ordered the Easter Feast for Easter Dinner and everyone loved it. Of course, I had to add some Polish Sausage and Pierogies to authenticate it as a Polish Easter, your ham and sides were delicious! Two of our Granddaughters were playing in a volleyball tournament at McCormick place, so we couldn't plan a time until we knew they were done. Heating instructions were great and we had a wonderful time, with no stress. Something different...Something wonderful as always. Marybeth Szczesniak
