We were there Sunday the 19 of feb, we had to ask for silver ware and then the waitress pushed a full glass of water on me by accident.I was wearing suede pants, then she turned away, came back with Napkin, shoved it in my face and said sorry, went to another table to get their order. Left me to... More

Ate dinner here on a Monday night with a business partner. We each had a house salad and split a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza. Everything was incredible good and the service was top notch. If you want a causal dinner with great service and food, this is the place.

My guy was craving pizza so we wandered into Pizano's. Super authentic pizza and pasta joint with a full menu and bar. We knew we were in for a treat when one of the first things we were told when ordering was that the pizza would take 30 minutes! It was well worth the wait. Home made crust and fresh... More

We wanted a place to eat after a concert and were happy to see that this place was close and had great reviews. This is a classic Italian place with the red checkered tablecloth and butcher paper on top. There is a bar, then the seating area, and a carry out area, lots of TV's to watch the games on... More

This is one of our go to cozy spots to visit when we are in Chicago. I love that the same employs are around year after year. They are kind, mature waitstaff that truly care. The Sausage and Peppers in wine sauce is such a great appetizer. We ordered the Rudy pizza with thin crust this time and it was... More

Never having tried deep-dish pizza before, we decided to give Pizano's a try for lunch. Man, am I glad that we did! We waited less than 5 minutes for a table for 7 people, and it was New Year's Eve. We expected a much longer wait. We ordered a large salad to share, enjoyed the free bread, and waited roughly... More

Pizano's has built an iron-clad reputation for its deep dish pizza, probably well-founded. Why else would Pizano's, which established its first pizza and pasta restaurant at 864 North State Street in 1991, have gone on to open four other locations in downtown Chicago and another in north suburban Glenview? But my wife and I prefer thin crust cheese and sausage... More

I came here with my wife and sister-in-law for my first ever deep dish and was very pleased. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Pizza was decently priced considering the location and amount of food. Note: Deep dish is very filling and you would probably only eat half the number of slices you would with traditional pizza. Pizano's is... More

In town for fun, HAD to have some deep dish. The hostess estimate of wait time to get a table for 4 was WAY off....45-60 mins ended up being more like 90mins. That being said, once we got a table, our waiter was great, and he took excellent steps to ensure our food delivery was quick. The pizza was great.... More

Wonderful neighborhood place with great vibes, friendly staff, and a feeling of camaraderie among the patrons. Great pizza at reasonable prices.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
