There is so much variability in people's taste buds so it's always hard to fairly rate a restaurant for all to agree on... We are Lou malinatis fans. We try others but always come back to Lou's. We love to try other pizzas to see if we can find better, but so far not so much...couple folks in our party... More

Best deep dish pizza experience ever. Great ambiance and service. My server, Elizabeth, was gracious and attentive. Prices are reasonable and the crowd is friendly. I highly recommend the deep dish sausage and fresh basil. Bring your appetite and expect nothing less than pure pizza perfection.

Pizano's was great for our group of 9 that included 5 kids. We were able to call for a reservation, which was awesome and something that other pizza joints don't do. The pizza flavor was awesome, but the crust was a little hard. The sausage on the pizza was out of this world.

We wanted to try their deep dish and compare it. The crust was on the crunchy side, and the sauce was on the watery side. It's a much thinner deep dish pizza than Giordano's. If you are looking for a change in your deep dish pizza and try something else, then go for it. Check it out.

I ate at the bar. The bartender spent most of her time talking to the other bartenders with her back to the patrons. She texted from her phone. The food was great the place is fun.

My daughter and I enjoyed Sunday lunch at Pizano's. Our service was friendly and the food exceptionally good. We both ordered pasta and it was cooked perfectly.

If we did not have a 39 hour ordeal in traveling to partially cover a 2 and one half hours flight, this would have been the worst experience of our vacation. Chose this only due to the proximity to our hotel during a recent heatwave. Sat in quite a dirty little room which appeared to be some sort of scullery... More

I had dinner with my wife and young adult daughter at Pizano's on a Saturday night about 8:00 p.m. We didn't mind the 15-minute wait and the atmosphere was classic: a semi-dark, glitzy, crowded, loud, noisy, urban Italian restaurant. Dark wood walls and red-checkered tablecloths prevailed. Our waitress was charming and took good care of us without being intrusive. Pizano's... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
