I came here with my wife and sister-in-law for my first ever deep dish and was very pleased. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The Pizza was decently priced considering the location and amount of food. Note: Deep dish is very filling and you would probably only eat half the number of slices you would with traditional pizza. Pizano's is... More

In town for fun, HAD to have some deep dish. The hostess estimate of wait time to get a table for 4 was WAY off....45-60 mins ended up being more like 90mins. That being said, once we got a table, our waiter was great, and he took excellent steps to ensure our food delivery was quick. The pizza was great.... More

Wonderful neighborhood place with great vibes, friendly staff, and a feeling of camaraderie among the patrons. Great pizza at reasonable prices.

I am often disappointed to find that American pizza is sprinkled with rather disgusting dried spices on top. This was NOT the case here. The deep-dish pizza was rather heavy but very good and prepared SIMPLY. On top just mozzarella and tomato, as it should be. The tomato was excellent, the mozzarella good although too much of it for my... More

It was 7 degrees, after the theater, and I needed a light snack. It was the perfect place to stop at 10:30 p.m. I had the pasta fagioli soup with bread sticks and olive oil. It was the perfect snack. I enjoyed the soup because it warmed me up. I appreciated having the late night option.

Went here for dessert on the recommendation of our hotel and were not disappointed. You can probably split the pizza pan baked cookie topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and sauce but it's so good you may not want to.

The colorful lights and full tables drew us in, and we were not disappointed. Instead of the touristy other famous pizza places, we found a warm, friendly place with excellent calamari and thin crust pizza. Very satisfied.

We had tried the pizza on a tour we went on, and decided to try it again before we left to go home. The pizza was good, we also really enjoyed a antipasto salad while we waited for out pizza to be made. We are excited to maybe order a pizza once we get home, they have a mail order... More

We dined at Pizanos on a Wednesday night and found the place packed. We pre-ordered our pizza with the hostess to shorten the wait when we were seated (nice touch Pizanos). The staff was very friendly and attentive so the wait didn't bother us too much. The restaurant is a classic small pizza joint. Enjoyed our time there.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
