Was really looking forward to some epic Chicago pizza. Found this one close to our hotel. Not very busy and now I know why. I had deep dish and my hubby had thin. Just all right. Toppings good but crust did not knock our socks off. Salad was from a bag. Yuck. Large noisy group of tween girls were seated... More

Of all the Italian restaurants in the downtown area of Chicago, this is my favorite. It doesn't necessarily look like much from the outside, but the food is authentic and fantastico! The service is also superb. The only thing I regret is not being able to take the leftovers back to my hotel. We had tickets to the theater. Sad.... More

We ate at Pizano's because it was directly across the street from the hotel we were staying at and they indicated they had gluten free food. When we saw the sausage crust pizza on the menu we had to try it! We loved it! The ambiance of the restaurant was fun, and the food very good. We would go back!

I enjoyed my thin crust pizza at Pizanno's. The service was excellent and the pizza was good. It definitely provided some variety to the deep dish pizzas of Chicago. The tables are a little small unless you have a larger party. You should try it at least once!

This is a great Italian diner/restaurant. Loads of old photos and sports memorabilia, like something out of little Italy! Brilliant Italians food and service to match! Excellent!

This is literally the best pizza I have ever had. Very fresh, their own recipe, and amazing. I ordered a special with peppers onions mushrooms and sausage. It was a personal deep dish. And wow!!!! Must stop here.

Very good pizza. Called to order some pizzas and were ready in 30-35 minutes. Only a 5 - 10 walk from The Four Seasons, Westin Michigan Ave, or The Talbot. Boxes are insulated so the pizza is hot when you get back to your location. Staff is really friendly and their pizza sauce is one of the best in the... More

Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. We had a thin crust pizza and salad and both were delicious. Will skip Giordano's from now on when in Chicago, and eat here instead, delicious!

After a long day of walking and sightseeing we settled on a late dinner at Pizano's. Our friends had been there a couple years ago and were looking forward to another meal at this location. Six of us sat at the bar and enjoyed a cold beer while waiting for our table. The bar service was quick and efficient. Once... More

You cannot visit and not eat pizza this is a must in thile Windy City. Deep dish is very popular however my favourite was the thin crust. I did take away as well as done in and both times it was just superb.

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
