I brought my kids here for lunch. While it was more pricey than i was expecting, the food was wonderful. I ordered 2 personal pan deep dish pizza's and "cheese sticks" which where I am from in Indiana means breadsticks with cheese on top. What i got were mozzarella sticks. My son was not happy about this. Being they were... More

Not all pizza places have gluten free choices. They offer a rice pasta entree. Also full bar service

Was here with family and friends in beginning of November having not read the reviews, and to be honest it didn't live up to the hype here. The service was okay intermittently but mostly poor. We were rushed into ordering and check was brought to table as soon as main course was finished, some plates were still on table. Food... More

True Chicago deep dish pizza when your in Chicago Is a must right. Well the last trip here I didn't do it. So this time I blocked out this afternoon for just that. The wife found a pizza tour around the city but with a dinner reso she pick a restaurant that was on the tour. Then this place was... More

We found the pizza toppings not very tasty and although my thin crust was crispy it was also not amazing. On the positive side they do have some gluten free pizzas , pastas, and filled pastas for my husband. 2 pizzas and 2 drinks came to $73 so no bargains here.

I have been going to this place for 10 years. I generally like it but to be honest with you the best pizza is 49 feet north at Malnati's. Anyhow I used to really like this place. And I work at Loyola and we buy lots of pizza here because it's pretty good and you cannot go to Malnati's 5... More

When you go to a place and it is crowded, you always knows its going to be good. It was a long wait but well worth it. My first ever true Chicago Deep Dish pizza and it was everything and more. Delicious, fresh and hot! This Newfoundlander highly recommends Pizano's.

It's always bad saying that something is "the best ever". I won't do that. However, I will say that Pizano's on State St is our own personal standard of very good quality and consistency. When we lived nearby, we'd have pizza at least every other week. Now, whenever we visit the City, we make sure that we stop at Pizano's... More

Went because of the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Great atmosphere and very busy leading to slow service, but the pizza was the worst I have ever had.The base was like cardboard tasteless and tough. The pizza topping was burnt and looked like a reheat job on two of our pizzas. I left a half of it. I mentioned it... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
