This pizza place is one of Chicago's best. Beyond the pizza, the entrees are tasty, from salads to pasta or fish. I've never had a bad meal here. Being located just off Michigan Ave by Millennium Park, it can get pretty busy, and the wait can be long. But it's worth the wait. Prices are competitive, and service is very... More

First time visit to Chicago, so obviously had to see what the much-talked-about Chicago pizza was about. Tried both deep dish and thin crust. Thin crust didn't really feel like thin crust - compared to what I am used to from home, these were actually quite thick. Toppings and taste were good, but overall didn't meet my expectations. The deep... More

When my sister and I visited Chicago, we wanted to be sure to try some of their famous deep-dish pizza, so we asked our concierge at the Palmer House to recommend a place nearby. Pizano's was close and the pizza was delicious. It was full of sausage and pepperoni and the crust was nice and crispy. The atmosphere was convivial,... More

By Italian woman I was very curious to eat Pizano's Pizza. I thought that only Italy pizza was good, but I was wrong! Chicago pizza is very particular! Good pasta of pizza, good cooking, inviting presentation! You have to try it if you go to Chicago. A pizza very good!

Appalling service; awful food; AVOID this place unless you are a masochist! Definitely the worst pizza my partner & I have ever had and the worst meal by far on our 23 day Route 66 trip across 9 states! Sooo bad in every way - staff, atmosphere, food.

We found this restaurant using the "near me now" feature of the TripAdvisor app. Which in my option is a fantastic way to find a variety of needs in close range. We wanted to experience Chicago deep dish and the app directed us to Pizano's. Love the integrated map too. Upon entry we found the restaurant to be very charming... More

Visiting Chicago and just had to try a deep dish pizza and Pizanos did not disappoint. My wife and I shared the calamari as a starter and that was as good as I've ever eaten and we followed that with a small pizza. Really enjoyed the deep dish with its great buttery crust and loads of filling. Only wish we... More

I'm in my 50s, and have lived in 7 states and travelled extensively nationally and internationally. I've tasted many slices of pizza, and Pizano's is the winner as my favorite pizza ever!!

A walk from the north end of the Magnificent Mile. Homemade pies with authentic ingredients. Tasty calamari with dipping sauce. The deep dish pizza is really filling. Thin crust and deep dish are both delicious. Lovely, crispy crusts. Seating is crowded but comfortably so. Chicago sports pictures and jerseys adorn the walls. Second visit.

We were tourists in Chicago for the first time and wanted Lou M's but underestimated how big the city just is! So we ended up sitting down here because we were starving and glad we did. We hah uncle chuach for our server and he was just crazy. He worked that room like he was a good fella and which... More

Staying in Gold Coast

Neighborhood Profile
Gold Coast
Located just north of The Loop, Gold Coast is one of Chicago’s most affluent and popular neighborhoods. The original Playboy, Hugh Hefner, once had a mansion here. In addition to prestigious hotels, historic mansions and luxury high-rise apartments, you’ll also find upscale specialty boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants. Walk along Oak Street for your shopping fix and dance through the night along Rush Street. The Newberry Library is also a great stop to check out noteworthy exhibits and rare book collections.
